Arahi, my Shaghaf Oud Elixir, just arrived, and I am loving it. The Oud is most definitely there, in a good way. I think the oud really smooths out the sharp edges that the OG has. I'm 2 hrs in, and the Oud in the Elixir has melted into the other notes, giving a smoothen effect to the spices. I've only put it on the skin so far. This is a no regret blind buy for me. 😊

I got my bottles of Shaghaf Oud Royale and Oud Elixir over the weekend and have tried them both. As a matter of fact, my SOTD is Oud Elixir. The Oud Elixir is okay; I don't dislike it, but I thought it would be something almost like the spice in Viktor and Rolf Spice Bomb or like the spice in Mancera's Red Tobacco just done with Swiss Arabian's twist. I can smell the spice in it, but it just seems faint to me. Now, the Oud Royale on the other hand is simply AMAZING!!! As soon as you spray it, the Patchouli is going to attack your nose. It's not overbearing (at least not to me), it's smooth, rich and creamy. When I first sprayed it, it reminded me of Pine in the Sun by Scents of Wood. In Mississippi where I grew up, Pine trees were all around. So, the scent of pine is one that I love because it reminds me of home. Oud Royale did just that. Two thumbs up for Shaghaf Oud Royale.
Hi Kevin! I am so very glad to hear that you've had a first sniff good experience with at least one of these gems!!! Please give Oud Elixir some time to settle.... a couple more days and then try it on skin again! As a matter of fact, they both will be significantly better once you give them some time to settle! Please keep us in the loop as to the progress you experience with both! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I really enjoyed this review that you posted regarding these two new releases. I'm not new to Swiss Arabian fragrances; I currently have Shaghaf Oud Tonka, Ahmar, Aswad, Azraq and the original Shaghaf Oud. Out of all of these, Shaghaf Oud Azraq would have to be my favorite followed closely by the original Shaghaf Oud. Before I made a purchase for Oud Royale and the Elixir, I had to hear a review and do my own research. Oud Royale is somewhat similar to Bade'el Al Oud; Oud for Glory. After a close study of the note break down, Oud Royale seems to be a little softer than Oud for Glory. Shaghaf Oud is an amazing scent in my opinion; it's rich, creamy, smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. So, when I heard about the Elixir, I just had to know. From what I'm seeing, it's the Pink Pepper that's giving it that bit of strength. The Elixir makes me think of Mancera's Red Tobacco; if you're not a fan of tobacco, Cinnamon, and oud you won't like Red Tobacco and if you don't allow for a dry down to take place you will clear a room. The dry down on this fragrance is out of this world. Anway, I'm about to make the purchase of them both.

Thank you so much for your video! I immediately scrubbed it off and because it was still there, I sprayed Kayali’s vanilla 28 over it and it smells ok. 😢I want to love it, so I’m gonna let it sit for another few months and revisit it.

Thank you so much for your video! I feel like maybe I got a not good bottle of the original Shagaf Oud because the smell… I cannot take it and I think it’s the Oud. 😢😢
I’ve been letting it sit for the past few weeks and just sprayed it on my hand (literally one spray) and just can’t. I immediately scrubbed it off and because it was still there, I sprayed Kayali’s vanilla 28 over it and it smells ok. 😢I want to love it, so I’m gonna let it sit for another few months and revisit it.
OMG so sorry to hear you are having this experience.... yes! please let it sit for a month. and then try again! Please just leave me a message in any video with the progress you observe. Needless to say, I. don't recommend that you pick up any of these two as they are even more Oud centric! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Its not for everyone and not a safe blind buy. Its not a beginner oud fragrance either. The oud is prominent in it. Its eithe hit or miss but that's ok, some people just aren't into oud. Nothing wrong w that.
Kay Ali came out with a NEW Oudgasm Smoky Oud Intense 07. Have you tried it yet? I ordered it from HUDA today. I heard it won't be sold at Sephora, only at Huda or Harrods. Hopefully, it will smell sexy, like the reviewers are saying.
Hi Tish! I did hear about it but was waiting for Sephora and their upcoming sale but I guess I’ll have to go to the Huda site! Please let me know your thoughts as soon as you try it please! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi. I was wondering if you had smelled the new Guilty Elixir de Parfum pour Homme Gucci. I love it and wondered if you smelled any middle Eastern fragrances that smell like that, since you've tested a lot.
Hello hello! I have not tried that fragrance but can tell you that I also have not had an ME fragrance that was inspired by that Gucci fragrance.... Typically I do quite a bit of research prior to an ME fragrance review which would include finding out if it was inspired by another. ❤️ ❤️
@@ArahiWorld thank you for your reply. I guess it is newer, but I just don't like taking a chance if it has a lot of similar notes because how it mixes, etc can alter things so much.
I'm showing love but my chemistry does not like saffron. That note always takes over no matter how little.😢
On no! I actually know someone else with that same chemistry shift with Saffron!! No worries…. I will take the Love though!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Does Shaghaf Oud Royale remind you of Oud for Greatness?
H! So I did hear about this comparison and I do have Oud for Greatness! At first sniff I am not really getting that but will try to do a side by side comparison! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
@@ArahiWorld okay 👌🏽
I'd like to see a side by side comparison between Royale and OFG too as it's put me off buying as I've gone off OFG.
Good morning! I am now interested myself in this test…. Give me some time as I have quite a number of fragrances in queue for testing! ❤❤❤❤❤
Which one would u like on a Man... Elixir or Shagaf oud OG ?
Hello! I think I prefer Elixir on a man! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@ArahiWorld thankyou so much
Thank you
Hello. Shaghaf Oud Royale is extremely similar to the discontinued Patchouli Absolu by Tom Ford.
Hi Alec! I did not know this and hadn’t even thought about it…. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Uh the notes of the shaghaf oud royalle scares me I’m going to pass on that one
I really don’t recommend you get Oud Royale unless you are into very intense Oud fragrances! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@ArahiWorld I’m not thanks for the warning! Lol
Thanks for the review. I don’t own any from this line. I’ll be passing on both of these fragrances.
Hello hello! I am actually really encouraging everybody to get samples or just pass on these two altogether if Oud is not a strong love...so I am glad you've decided to pass! Because just the fact that you've never been inspired to pick up any of the Shaghafs tells me everything! 😃 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is the elixir version better than the og?
Hello! It really depends on the notes you are looking to stand out! I will say the Elixir is more intense to my nose but oh man it is a masterpiece! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
is the elixir too different from the OG ? Is it sweet??
Hello and happy Monday! So the Elixir is a tad sweet but overall nothing like the OG as it is quite Intense on Oud! If you are an Oud lover you will love the Elixir! ❤️❤️❤️
@@ArahiWorld well, then I'd continue wiith the OG Shagaf Oud 😍
@@user-xp3qc3mu6o Hi yes please because I would hate for you to pick it up and not enjoy it! ❤❤❤
i heard oud elixir smells like chocolate, is that true?
Hello! Oh no! Absolutely not! This is a very dominant Oud type of fragrance! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You have beautiful eyes ma’am.
Hello hello! Thanks so much for the kind compliment! ❤️❤️❤️
I dont see any skanky Oud in the elixir.
Hello and happy Sunday! I don't either now that mine has had a chance to macerate for a bit! I do still get a very strong Oud presence which I absolutely love! Your comment tells me that you have a nose trained for intense Oud notes! Nonetheless, I love this fragrance! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤

Hello and happy Monday! Thanks so very much for the kind compliment! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
