Would be good to talk about MONO summing of the audio in 70 volt applications and how that differs from stereo. I talk about that in a video on my youtube channel.
Hello Nathan! I'm 53 and want to break into the low voltage and commercial audio field. I live in SW Connecticut. I have hotel A/V and some light install background. Any recommendations?
Hi there! You can check on infocommshow.org, commercialintegrator.com, avixa.org, and other industry websites for installers or dealers in your area and see if there are any you could work with. Best of luck!
How can I ask a question by email or by phone? We are a church in Phoenix, AZ. Need a quick question why our 70V CDi1000 amp that needs to be replaced.. I am wondering why the amp out is connected into an old transformer, then out with 1 cable with a resistor connected to both positive and negative to multi zone (home runs) volume controls. This could be an old way to hook up (old amp, amp was manyfactured in 2007). Can I get a new 70V commercial amp and connect to all the zones with one cable directly from a new amp and paralleled to these home runs (volume controllers)? We probably need to change all 5 volume controllers? I plan to replaced the amp with the same one using the same connections. The speakers are at least 150 ft away from the back to the Church to the front volume controller to the back of the church where the amp is located. The amp is like $1100. I want to save $ and use a newer system.

Any suggestions for good in rack attenuators that would pair well with a Sonos port? Trying to figure out if I can get a remote attenuator that would be controlled in an app like Spotify or RUclips music if using a Sonos port as a source. Thanks!
Interesting. Good video. Thanks. But I must add, in most commercial environments - other than "paging across the store, I almost wish retail companies, grocery stores etc wouldn't bother playing music. One, yeah most of the time, the speakers are not the best sounding, but even worse is the choice of music played. Example: its a Saturday, you're off work, feeling good, have to run to the store, and soon as you walk inside instant buzz killer cause of the music playing! Happens too often!
Hello, This will depend on the amplifier. I recommend consulting the data sheet or manual for your specific amplifier. If you do not have either of these, you can often find them by searching Google. If you still can't find the answers you need, reach out directly to the amp manufacturer. Most manufacturers offer some technical service for their products.
thank you sir
