Came from the mitsubishi mirage forum's because of my 2015 mirage. Stayed because your channel is cool, love the mods and can't wait to see what's next!
Top speed test in an off-road turbo powered buggy wearing flip flops, no helmet and holding your phone in one hand..balls of steel! Im gearing up to build a buggy this winter, wasn’t sure what engine to go with, was going to look into the 1000rr but love the idea of that H pattern manual w/ reverse. I subbed, great job, keep it up!
You really need to reinforce the rear end with a 5 link set up! I'm thinking with a sway bar it would handle curves better? That is a cool buggy man ! I subscribed and should get notified when new content comes out. Stay safe Brother and God Bless
@@jimmace6148 I wanted to wait to put the fox air shocks through their paces (in case they were a flop). At this point i’m thoroughly impressed with the fox 2.0 air shocks 😁
excellent video friend, some questions: Would you try it versus a cam-am maverick x3? Would you put the amr 500 together with the turbo? Would you put a yoshimura escape? have you tried the napol or okada coils from evo x? What more modifications would you make? Personally, I want to put yoshimura pistons in my dodge attitude, do you recommend it? I love your videos, congratulations
Thanks friend! Power to weight is the most important part of any build and yet almost every other buggy builder gets it wrong. If I were to put a 500lb 300hp V6 in this buggy i’d be improving it right? of course not, it would ruin the drivers experience. To calculate power to weight we simply divide HP by Total weight. This build is 1100lbs wet full of fuel and fluids so 140hp/1100lbs gives us .127Hp per Pound. X3 has 3 power levels, the 120hp would get dropped off like a red headed step child, so let’s not even go there. The real life weight (full of fluids) for the X3 is between 1700-1800lbs. So 172Hp/1700lbs is .101hp per lb and the 195hp/1700 is .114hp per pound. The more weight, the further the struggle to make up for it in HP. I am using the stock coil packs but better packs is something I’d consider upgrading. Brakes and Suspension are the two things that need work atm, both of which i’m currently experimenting with. Yoshi is great, also Honda D series pistons and rods can be used in a 3a92 👍
@@DirtGearTv Oh thank you man, you have opened my mind to what I had never considered in weight power ... I will look for the Honda D, and buy a NPboosted coil pack for EVO X only that I will have to change harnesses. Excellent, I say it again I love your channel, and I look forward to the next video.
happy new year brother. Will you show us the oil catch can? Here in Mexico it is an issue that many are unaware of, since Mexican oils are of low quality and evaporate quickly, personally I have solved it with an oil catch. (without being turbo) You help many of us with your excellent videos.
Hey man Me and my dad are planing on building a buggy and i want to know how much the stock buggy cost you and how much money have you spent on it to get it to the level that it is.
One thing I noticed is your front wheels look toed out. That is great for racing on a tight track but not good for high speed dirt runs. Try setting toe in at about 2 degrees.
@@DirtGearTv I just picked up a yamaha rhino clone I'll be doing a turbo install on it this winter keep an eye on my channel. Also if you have an issue on your vehicle or small engine stuff feel free to ask. I was an ASE master tech for 18 years till my eyes went now I do small engine work out of my home shop

Nice! That thing rips!
Driving Turbo buggy in flip flops, no helmut and looking at the phone? RESPECT
🤬🤬🤣🤣
I've owned a couple chinese buggies. I always wondered how cool it would be to have one with overwhelming power. Now I know. Badass build!!!!
This is awesome I remember selling this buggy to you. I stripped it down, painted it and put the light bar and oval pod headlights on it.
No way dude Glad you found it! It’s come a long way huh? 😂

This is so cool. I’m building a mini that will get powered by a 3A92 engine.

Thanks Man! I’ve got more cool stuff planned for it.
This thing is a BEAST!! AWESOME BUILD!!

Get you some quality front shocks. Cheap easy upgrade that makes a big difference
It’s funny you say that 😁
@@DirtGearTv maybe I shouldn't be surprised to see new shocks in an upcoming episode? Lol

Good point! Although, it’s probably got 2 degrees of slop in those ball joints. I’m sure that’s not helping 😂
