    This was such a poor stadium design. The included all the ammenities, suites, and other features they wanted to generate as much revenue as possible but gave no thought or care to the gameday fan experience. As someone who went to Levi's for a CONCACAF Gold Cup doubleheader a few months ago (Jamaica vs St Kitts & Mexico vs Qatar) I have to say that for the first match which started at 4:00 in the afternoon, it was absolutely brutal to sit in the stands & have the sun beat down on me for just 20 minutes. In fact it was so bad that I had to go down to a bar on the lower level to get some shade & I hung out down there for the majority of the Jamaica-St Kitts match & only went back to my seat for the Mexico-Qatar match where there was shade. I am surprised that Levi's was still chosen as a 2026 World Cup venue despite this major design flaw. World Cup matches at Levi's will likely have to be played at night because of this.

Crazy all the money spent and they get the one thing that matters most wrong and that is comfort for the fans. Over the last decade or so, there have been some incredible new NFL stadiums built. Think Rams/Chargers, Raiders, Vikings, Falcons and of course them Cowboys. However…. Amongst that, two standout for being absolute trash. The 49ers and the Giants/Jets home field. Why oh bloody why didn’t they have some type of roof - Metlife Stadium especially. That should’ve had a retractable roof without doubt. It’s the same problem with the new Bills stadium and that isn’t even finished yet. I mean with no roof, what’s the actual point. A complete waste of time. Those three stadiums won’t stand the test of time very well at all!

    How I feel at Comerica Park in Detroit, go to a game that starts before 7:15, going get roasted by the sun, the only cover they have is the last rows in lower bowl which are expensive Tiger Den seats. So I feel for 49ers fans. People complained about old Tiger Stadium with the obstructed viewing with the polls which was true for some seats, however was a much better place to watch a game, protected from the sun, rain, elements. I’m 41, I have no desire sitting in heat, cold, rain, not with how much tickets, concessions, parking is, time consuming, just not worth my time, money, yes Comerica Park unfortunate home of the Detroit Tigers since 2000 with very little renovations done in the last 20 plus years outside of a new scoreboard, a bar added in the upper level, the fencing is terrible in the outfield, was originally a big park, they went the cheap route moving the fences in, love if you did a video on Comerica Park since you do such great work.

    • @markjohnson6498
      @markjohnson6498 4 месяца назад

      Comerica really is a disappointment when compared to Tiger (Briggs) Stadium. I grew up about a mile from the stadium so I was very fortunate to experience every facet of the stadium. They all talk about developing something like Battery Park in Atlanta. We had that in Detroit and game day was just magical to a 5 year old. My grandfather, dad and uncle knew everyone and everyone knew us. It wasn't just that the stadium was intimate but all the people were too and not just in the stadium but all the business owners and workers in the neighborhood. Ah there it is, that was the secret sauce, The Neighborhood. Comerica does not feel like that and the only other place I experienced the same vibe is Wrigley. Them Cubbies fans would rather not watch baseball if it meant leaving Wrigley.

    Levi's is my local stadium, so being a Hawks fan, I go once a year (or sometimes two if they meet in the playoffs like last year). When the weather is nice, the open air feel is actually very pleasant, but I always sit on the shady side.
    I always feel bad for those sitting on the sunny side though. Even on a normal Bay Area afternoon, the actual temperature may not be that high, but the sun beating down on you can be rather uncomfortable.
    Among locals, Levi's is much maligned, as many compare it to an "Erector set," looking rather incomplete and temporary, in the vain of Miami's DRV PNK soccer stadium.

Granted it was 86° game time but in that seat it was baking what a mistake the stadium was and still is and game time experience at candlestick was twice as good if not betterthan that this was a rush job by Santa Clara and there’s not a lot of surrounding area and getting to and from the game is just as bad as it was a candlestick but at least candlestick had better weather cooler anyway

Football should never be played under a roof. Think about it. The games you remember and are drawn to are snow and rain games not a game in a dome. If they are really upset about it they could do what they did in Miami which is to cover the fans but leave the field open.
