I'm a model railroader and have been using super glue and baking soda for years as a filler. It sands nicely and is very easy to work with. Holds paint quite well too. Cheers from eastern TN
Here’s a tip you missed. Drip the thin on your tennis shoe and ignore. Later when your about to crash for the night you realize your shoe is stuck to your sock. And your sock is stuck to your foot. So the tip is, don’t do this.
Chad that made me laugh man... The scene where I Ca glue the foam to my gloves.. I must have soaked one of my fingers reallllllllllly good... Because after the shot was over, i went to take the glove off and it didn't want to come off that finger.... I am still getting use to wearing only one glove... Im kidding.. :-) But it really did happen.. And it wasn't too bad getting off. Just a little shocking, I'm sure just like your sock. lol Thanks for the comment bud!!! -Brian
Also, don't get a mess of glue on your fingers working w photo etch parts, and then taking a smoke break to relax after dealing with the utter frustration photo etch entails.....i transferred the glue to my lips, and tore flesh in the panic to prise them apart...
@WoodenCreationz you might try aerosol adhesive for the gluing of the foam to gloves in the future...without putting your hands in while spraying. You can put your fingers in later after it sets a bit, to conform the foam to your fingers. Just dont accidentally spray your face , when the spray tip invariably clogs.....i unfortunately ruined my prescription glasses doing just this..(trying to scrutinize why the damn orifice clogged)all .my glue mishaps might make one question how i survived 15 years working as a welder/fabricator, but, i was very cautious in this work environment and was able to avoid serious injury.
Also, don't put your ca glue bottle in your pants pocket, because it might leak. And then your pocket might get glued to your boxers, which might get glued to your leg. You know. Hypothetically.
I know of a kid who had a smart aleck sister giving him sass, so he super glued her mouth shut. Sounds funny but they had to take her to the hospital, where I guess the doctors had a release agent
I know right.... glue lasts a really long time as long as it doesnt have a air leak. I have mine in the garage.. still have a bottle from a couple years ago.
Really liked your video! You showed several new uses for Star Bond that your viewers can benefit from! I would like to see you make a second video on unique applications for super glue!! You have a great imagination & a superb talent in the creation of your video productions. Can’t wait to see your upcoming videos!

It’s the exact same thing. Cyanoacrylate is super glue. All superglue manufactures, make relatively the same thing only differences some are fresher than others, or some may be stronger than others, and have a longer shelf life. The dollar store superglue won’t be as high-quality and will likely be pretty runny and messy. While Starbond and others be higher quality with thickening agent to slow it down. Making it easier to work with.
Here's another tip: if you need to transport super glue to your cousins house for whatever project 12 year olds build and said transport is a Huffy bicycle, don't stow the super glue in your front jeans pocket....
if you use superglue with baking powder it improves structural strength so super glue then baking powder then super glue building up layers sets like concrete!
@@ladyfame1430 You are right.. Baking soda... I tried it before doing this video.. It works.. but it just turns into a clumpy weird mess in my testing.
Depends on the situation ya know.. for tiny projects super glue is perfect. Thick or medium thick super glues are the best because they arent like the gas station watery mess we are all use too. I also love a great expoxy if something is really jacked up.... I have pitched to starbond to come out with a epoxy.
I got a little rash on my black wheel and took black stove paint and painted it…good as new. LOL!!! 😂 FOLLOWUP: It washed off after going through the car wash for a second time. 🫤

Does acetone dissolve this stuff? Keep your nail polish remover close!

You’re awesome!
Ahh thanks.. really appreciate that! Ty so much!
The first rule of superglue is to never loan out your superglue. Now I have superglue.

Never thought of using it for welding thank you very much. As my late father used to say you can always learn something new. 👍🇦🇺
As a certified welder i cringe at the thought of using super glue instead of fixturing, but, whatever works. Just don't inhale the cyanide fumes.....

A really well done video - 👍
Great video

I wonder if it would fix a leak in a roof.
I would probably stick with proper sealant for repairing a roof leak or have a roofer determine what's going on.

Yeah... its hard to find good music.... youtube strikes you if you use known songs.. so you have to use copyright free music.

super glue is absolute junk.. epoxy or plastic welding is the only way to go.. the only thing i have ever had super glue work on is skin
