    Some great hints here. My additional one: watch the weather. The best will be if a cold front moves through at night, and the morning is predicted to be clear following the front. Then get up early and get morning golden hour shots. Yes, it will be colder, but the snow will be fresh and sparkle and it will be magical. This doesn't happen too often, but when it does, be ready it will be worth it.
