Glad you enjoyed it, Craig. Light-wind days certainly provide a different feel to a kite display, but of course only certain kites will fly in such conditions.
I can't fly all of them at once, but I will probably fly a few of them soon. I last flew some of them on our annual Kite Day, and you can see that video here: ruclips.net/video/Q6o7qMyY5gg/видео.html .
I tried to buy a Midi Pointer recently as there are sails still around, but once all the profit margins, import duties, VAT were added it was over 700ukp BEFORE delivery ! No sale !!!!! Peter's bird reminds me of my pre-owned 'Exotic Bird' I have (HQ?). That's a nice flier too with multiple streamer tail. Good to see these lovely kites Jim when we here in UK are thinking more of building an Ark !!! 🤢 🌧🌧🌧🌧🌧
That price is quite ridiculous. It's just a few square metres of nylon sewn into a fairly basic design, so should cost a fraction of that. It weighs very little and packs down small, so postage should be minimal. Things have gone crazy in recent times, and buying kites from overseas has become much, much harder. AliExpress is still good, as they seem to get things to NZ at very reasonable postage costs, but we have to pay our version of VAT which used not to be the case on items under $400 but now applies to everything. Postage from USA, UK, or Europe is shocking now, and I've almost given up buying anything.
@@JimNicholls Yes, agree. Lots of price hikes recently. But, Ali Express delivered my 'cheap, 32ukp' Ray today. Looks good value. Hope it flies as well as yours !!!!
I had a delivery from AliExpress yesterday (not a kite) and it arrived in one week from placing the order. That's faster than getting something from within NZ, and the postage was cheaper! Have fun with your new arrival!
With such a light wind; it makes the kites look so gentle. It is amazing to see how the kites can stay in the air.
We get a lot of days at this time of year with almost no wind, so we need to have kites which can cope with those conditions.
Very nice Jim....and some cool looking kites on display...thank you for sharing another beautiful day of flying.

The wonder of kites. Fly very well in the air.. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching! Kites are great.
Nice video Jim. Another lite wind day. Pointers are cool. But Peters Bird kite is assume. Great dune shots as always. Thanks Jim!
Peter certainly did a great job with the bird, and it looks great as well as flying beautifully.
That was a lovely group view at the end of the video. Hope you get a few more nice days.
We've been lucky on several days recently, Carl. You should come for another visit before it all changes and winter sets in.
Very cool kites Jim, Thanks, Ron
You're welcome Ron!
Can you fly all your bag of air kite..?
I really love your videos so much!

Thanks, Evan - I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Very nice Jim.
Thanks, David. I hope your weather is improving now and spring is doing its thing.
Hi Jim. I am on the search of finding Martin Lester’s Scuba diver kite.. still no luck. Do you have any idea where I could find it?
Sorry, I can't help.
Does anybody have contact details to Martin Lester?
His website seems not to work anymore, so maybe he's not in business these days.
Today all the kites I never seen
Jiang, I have a lot of kites that you've never seen!
@@JimNicholls haha. Ok. I will keep watch your video.
