Yea fuck doing pvp bosses online. You’ll get some no life Who’s soul level 700 with maxed out stats. I learned my lesson with the spirit of the church fight in DS3 and ill never play online again after that shit.
I wouldn't go so far as not playing online ever again. Keep in mind that there was a glitch when the game first came out, which allowed people to hit level 999 (more or less) and one shot everything with the Blueblood Sword. That's been fixed, so you won't run into that.
This is my first time playing Demon's Souls to provide some context so I have a lot of questions. If I'm offline and get summoned in soul form will I still get the defeating the old monk trophy, the golden demon soul, and will my character tendency change? My character tendency is neutral so far, and I plan to get all the rings in one playthrough.
Playing offline means you'll never get summoned. Defeating Old Monk in offline mode does not affect character tendency, but it will affect world tendency as it's treated like any other boss.

Haha I was in human form when going through this stage and I have played every other FS game offline so I thought I’d get a NPC follower when I summoned to help me in the level (first time I summoned in this game since I was always in Soul Form) but instead some poor guy had to fight us 1v2 as the Old Monk. Sorry whoever you are thanks for the help random guy I thought would be an NPC. I didn’t even know the enemy was a human before watching this but it makes sense because his movement was unlike all NPC invaders lol
The black phantoms before the boss i could kill early on. I've come back about 5 hours into the game later and now they one shot me with their soul ray and I can barely damage them its fucked. I can't even make it to old monk when I could before?
I hated this freaking fight why the hell would they make it so frustrating i needed someone to help me with this fight and i kept spamming fire ball while my friend was distracting the boss. I am glad i beat it but fuck they messed this fight up.
First time I got destroyed lol then once I died I speedrun the way to the boss room and actually got there before someone had a chance to be summoned. The boss was easy asf low key I should of waited to do PvP
I always get Emperor_Marius that invades then leaves before I get to the door, It's annoying. I don't want old monk, I need to make someone my beeyatch.
If the boss has a claw weapon, it's a bot. If not, it's a human. Humans can use the claw weapon, but it's not very good so the odds are low that a claw boss is a human.
"Easiest boss." That's just BS and you know it. I hope youre being hyperbolic because I cant imagine what kind of DeS player struggles more with Phalanx than this hyper-aggressive attack-punisher. The AI Old Monk isn't too hard, but there are plenty of bosses that are FAR easier. Vanguard Demon in the intro/tutorial was ten times easier. Phalanx was a thousand times easier with firebombs and a shield. Tower Knight was much easier once you learn its moves. Armor Spider was ten times easier with cover and ranged attacks. Dragon God was a ten thousand times easier once you realize it's a stealth/rushing segment and not really a fight. Leechmonger was a thousand times easier using any ranged attack. Probably some others I'm forgetting. Flame Lurker was harder. Maneaters were much harder. Adjudicator was much harder. Old Hero was... I don't know, about the same, maybe? These are mostly pretty subjective, but you FOR SURE can't front like AI Old Monk is easier than Vanguard, Phalanx, Dragon God... That's just silly nonsense bordering on bald-faced lies. AI Old Monk is still quite a challenge even with heavy armor, upgraded 100% physical shield, and a +4 Dragon Long Sword. He's extremely aggressive and moves as fast as you do, and he will absolutely not give you a single inch of space in which to heal, so you need to be very careful when you try to do so. This boss was also designed to punish R1 spammers by countering with high-damage riposte-type attacks, and if you try to keep your distance and use ranged attacks he'll use magic spells to punish that impulse as well. In order to succeed as a melee build, i.e. a non magic-easy-mode player, you need to either be very good at dodging and have a lot of patience, or you need to pay very close attention to your stamina bar while doing the "block, attack while he's stunned, block, attack while he's stunned, etc." loop, or be extremely accurate with your perries (yeah, good luck lmao.)

no no, you have to win AS the boss to get it, not beat the boss

I was playing it and my old monk was a archer. I had cloak on I ran up to him and 1hit ko'd him lmao.
I killed him but my character tendency did not change could you help me ?
Unless the Old Monk is another player, it doesn't count towards character tendency.
Does killing the opponent for the monk head wrap affect character tendency?
I'm pretty sure anytime you invade someone else's world and kill them that it causes your CT to become a shade darker

I was only able to do it with anti-magic field and an evil faith passive-regen build. Lol

Watched my roommate fight two different players where he did no damage alongside a summon. Talk about frustrating
