Wasn't too long ago they removed Highway Star from the setlist. Glad to see it back, at least here. The players are so excellent and tight. They rocked the house in Milwaukee it was amazing considering their age, but forget that because in the end they are just fantastic musicians and can play the shit out of their instruments. Oh, and Demons Eye sounds so cool live.

To : Ian Gillan, Roger Glover & Ian Paice.... You're all very strong.... play rock n roll with soul.... I like it.... One of my favourite rock band since I was at junior high school in 1983 until now.... GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
35 years ago, I'm listening to Deep Purple with my Dad. I never stopped loving their music. Smoke on the water! Still love their music, the high notes are hard at an older age for Ian, but they are still fantastic!
They were my favorite band in the 70s. The first one I heard was of course, was Machine Head around 1975, then by '78 or so I was fanatic and had all their albums. 45 years ago, can't believe it! I was bummed that they were gone in '76. There was no way to know at that time they would be back. I just haven't been able to keep up with them since Blackmore was replaced with this guitar acrobat. I just can't get into that style. Yea it's unfortunate Ian can't belt it out anymore. But what are you gonna do? It's him the way he is or nothing.
I have LOVED and devoted a lot of my time to Purple for some o years. Close your eyes, and the band has the energy if not more, than a youthful hard rock band of today. they are in there 70's and they can still put bands today to shame! They are THE well oiled machine flying the flag for Rock n Roll today. RnR incarnate. I LOVE THEM
Forget age! There is no age limit to artwork. Very skilful and very tasty. What a refreshing change to see some excellent musicians. Is anybody else out there who is sick of the music today that's done on a laptop? "Samples"!? Well, nice one guys. Brilliant show. I wish I was there. Thanks for the music.
Fantastic concert, especially Steve Morse. It seems he plays heavier than before. The rest of the band... simply perfect, great musicians. As always missing Lord and Blackmore. And missing songs like Black Night, Woman from Tokyo and Speed King.Since 1970 in love with this band. Greetings from Barcelona (Catalonia)
I am 50 years Young growing up my three favorite bands of all time was Deep Purple Pink Floyd Black Sabbath I think Deep Purple is just as good as Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath Deep Purple never got the recognition like Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath the early stuff is really great one of my favorite albums by Deep Purple Perfect Strangers that was made in the 80s Deep Purple stands the test of time they're just as good as they've always been that is it just one heavy metal rockers opinion deep purple's music will live in our hearts and Minds forever Long Live Deep Purple🎸✌
Deep Purple if not the best band in the World they were close after Machine Head came out in 71 or so. Smoke on the Water was on the radio constantly they were huge at that time. I wore out the Vinyl about 3 times I played it so much still have one copy left somewhere...lol
Love this.... I've seen Deep Purple many times over the years...Without a doubt the loudest indoor concert I've even been to and I've been to hundreds - including Ozzy, ACDC, Priest, Motorhead, Metallica, Sabbath, Maiden, Dio, Megadeth, Anthrax, Van Halen, Motley Crue, to name a few. The loudness level brought by Deep Purple was the keyboard solos that Jon Lord would do. You litterally felt like the roof was going to collapse in on the place...
Seres superiores!!!!! Deep purple!!!!!!

@green fox That was a dreaded experience. Breaking a string during a song. I usually limped through the song then replaced it. Then I started replacing strings more often and it didn't happen much anymore. I don't like Morse. His acrobatic style is too over the top for me. It's unfortunate that I can't really listen to the band that was my favorite 40 years ago.
@green fox You're English? I can tell by a couple of your words. Broke a bass string? That's awful. I played bass in bands, once for a year and half in the late 90s and that never happened to me. But I guess you said it was faulty. Do you use a pick like Glover? I really don't like picks on the bass except on certain songs. Like maybe Highway Star? Well I guess when I first started I used one. I also don't like the use of what we called a "false harmonic". I don't know what Morse might call it. You pick a certain way and get that SQUIIIIR sound. It's the kind of thing you might do once in a while as a novelty, but Morse does it 20 times each song. It gets obnoxious. I didn't have to be shown how to do that. Just figured it out while playing along with a Nazareth song "Vancouver Shakedown" when I was like 17. I think that was the only time Manny ever did that. Perfect!
@green fox I used a pick at first because I was a guitarist first and hadn't adapted to not using one. I cringe when I see it now. Even the supposed masters like Chris Squire and Greg Lake. Geddy Lee doesn't even use one when he plays guitar. That's kind of pushing it.
@green fox the only time I ever got a blister was in '79 I think, when I was 18 playing at a free-for-all type thing. The drummer said "cool, man. You must have a blister after that". I looked at my hand and sure enough. The real band playing that night was Spectra, Paradise Calif (yea that was the town destroyed in the fire) catesburgess.com/album/spectra-no-secrets-the-lost-tracks I was in awe to be in the presence of a real pro band and jamming with their drummer.
@green fox My influences are Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones and John Entwistle, likewise on guitar Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson and Pete Townsend. I like to blend these guys into my style

They rocked the house in Milwaukee it was amazing considering their age, but forget that because in the end they are just fantastic musicians and can play the shit out of their instruments. Oh, and Demons Eye sounds so cool live.

You're all very strong.... play rock n roll with soul.... I like it.... One of my favourite rock band since I was at junior high school in 1983 until now.... GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
never stop playing
Super ROCK !!!
Steve Morse lighting it up! And Ian Paice is a drumming machine - the engine of the band for 50+ years.
I LOVE THEM
Hell yeah been a fan for 40 plus years they ALWAYS rock!
If you know, Purple sold twice more albums worldwide, then sabbath. Only in the Us they are less popular
Deep purple are still the best band for me

I love to see these guys, they are a time machine, and a super heavy machine too, im 22 years old and i feel this.
You should have seen them in the 70's ❗
I saw them in 1973 in Minneapolis Minnesota Uriah Heep opened for them
They really are a solid and unique rock band, "In Rock", Machine head and fireball " are probably their most classic albums.
Amazing.... they soul still young
Deep purple never die.
Holy shit. Steve Morse one string hanging and pulls off an amazing guitar solo. That's showmanship right there.🎉🥇🏆🎖️
@green fox That was a dreaded experience.
