Amazing work. Love how you use off the shelf parts but you really hit that sweet spot of giving people what they want with a nice clean aesthetic, functional & flexible build and high quality components.
Loving your solutions. Planning to keep our current van for another 3-4 years, then hope to work with a builder like you to design something custom for us. Keep up the great work!
Drinking game: take a shot every time Brendan says “things like that” looks like another nice van you guys really have this design dialed in. Do you ever change up things?
We absolutely change things up. Our builds are customer driven. Quite often they like previous builds and therefore quite a few of our builds are similar. You know, things like that. 😜
Can you mention what the composite material is that you used for the floor please? And if possible, why you used it versus other composite options? Really nice Bill and much appreciated 🫵
Another great video! Did Ford lift the hold on these Transit Trails? Last I heard they weren't allowing anyone to take them off the lots. How did you get around it? Thanks!
MY TAKE, Ford is not treating us well: -Transit trail should be at 45k -REmovable side panels on the side of the van everywhere there is metal skin, just like the hood on top of the engine -The hybrid option just like in Europe ....to reach 20mpg
The MSRP for this van is $65k. $65k. For a van. Basically an empty shell. You can get a fully loaded F-150 for $56k. Not saying that a van and a truck are interchangeable, but there's no way this van costs Ford more to make than an F-150. What a scam.
Well the van is straight up more material, truck bed just needs to withstand the weight, where a vans walls and roof need to be structurally sound for legal reasons.
Hi! I do normally state the wheelbase of the van. Typically we work on the 148” wheelbase. The overall length of that vehicle is about 19.5’. I’ll try to mention that in future videos.
You can charge way faster off the alternator with the EcoFlow systems. The solar is just to run small draws like the fridge etc when parked for long periods of time.
10kWh will run this van for days even without solar. I was just camping for 3 nights with sun and rain in my van with 5kWh. We were still at 72% with my 200w solar. The design works well.
To each their own. This is a utilitarian, functional, easy to clean, service and maintain adventure van. The build materials are light weight yet durable and brings the total weight in significantly less than other vans in its class.
Move the shower from under the bed and it is perfect. I really like designs where the shower is in the entrance of the sliding door.
the perfect high-quality setup for us. going to go with these guys in a few years. nice job GMV!
My wish is for a passenger version of the transit trail. Love the idea of a bed and kitchenette, but we're a family of 7 :)

With the sink so close to the bed I'd be sleeping in a wet bed for sure.
That should be a no-brainer. Why have spraying water next to your bedding. Makes no sense.
Nice work!!! Looks great

It's got everything you need!!!
ANY REVIEWS ON THE WROP ON TOILET....NICE JOB

how would I get a quote for this exact build? Sent an email a while ago and haven't heard back
Hi there. Please send an email to brendan@gonemobilevans.com. Sorry about that!

This client had his Trail before the recall happened. We just finished two more under the same circumstances.
Looks great!
super impressed, nice work.

what was the final cost and lead time on this build?
Looks good
Nice I hope it is under 75.000
Not a chance. This is easily a 125-175k build. The transit trail chassis is 75k by itself.
La mia opinione, i van devono avere il bagno

Not if you need a van
even for business use a van is waaaaaaaay more useful than a truck.
Also what the heck is your definition of “fully loaded”? Hahahaa you’re not getting a fully loaded f-150 for $56k
How come you never say the length or wheelbase on these? Doesn't it come in a couple different lengths?
Hi! I do normally state the wheelbase of the van. Typically we work on the 148” wheelbase. The overall length of that vehicle is about 19.5’. I’ll try to mention that in future videos.
@@gonemobilevans okay thanks, I'm interested in the shortest wheelbases.
How does the shower drain out?
There is a drain through the floor of the van into a grey water tank we install.
Also 10kw of battery and ONLY 200 watts of solar. Seems way under solar paneled for sure.

@@PrezenceMusic33 So NO docking without running the engine near non-stop. NOT a good design in my book.
@@dfwvtxman 10kwh is a lot of storage especially when you can charge it from dead to full in a couple hours of driving.

A very utilitarian style van but lacking any character and homey-ness. It’s a bare bones style van compared to many others on the market.

The same van yet again. Years building the exact same van.
And yet here you are :)
