Man, these are some next level, beginner friendly, superior knowledge, mind opening blender tutorials. New subscriber (I saw your post on blender nodes group)
I watched your channel today first time, but your this video is enough to subscribe your channel. If you continue uploading this type of great videos,, this channel has a great future. ❤ Very amazing and beginner friendly. Thanks for this video ❤❤
Hi, I have an issue with following the step on 8:00 . I'm in blender 3.3 and the option to bake image sequence is not showing for me . I can't seem to find it anywhere. Can you help?
Hey ! Great tutorial ! One question for you.... at 6:07 you increase the number of substeps to make the effect look better... But it doesnt seem to have any effect for me, i'm on blender 3.5. Do you have any idea why substeps dont work ? Thank you !
This is very good. But when looking from the inside of the car , we see the rain drops on the windscreen. But here from the other side , no raindrops on the windscreen. How that can be achieved?
Hello, amazing work! Please keep making good tutorials! ;P (just a question, I downloaded the file but it seems the wiping doesn't work I have to do from sktatch the dynamic paint?)
I have a question. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm relatively new to blender. If I want to animate the rain drops on runtime based on a velocity variable, How do I go about doing it? So that the drops go up when the car is speeding and stuff like that. That said thank you so much for this awesome tutorial and I hope to see more amazing tutorials like this.
This is really amazing thank you. you seem pretty good with blender. is there a way to render a scene with volumetrics, then save just the volumetric fog into an image, and composite it back in later (for animations where the cam doesn't move)? Everything I try in the compositor looks.. bad. too bright, too thin, etc. I've gotten no help on forums. would love to see a video covering it if its possible. either way thank you for sharing this, it's amazingly good and useful.
Hi thank u for your kind words, I really appreciate that, sorry for the late reply, yes there is a way to do it, but it depends on the type of fog u are using, u can use the rendered depth compositing and add it into the render, or u can render a black and white image of the volumetric rendered in Eevee, check this link: ruclips.net/video/OHnfxCLL__0/видео.html this is the best way in my opinion, let me know if it helped
@@Yacine3Dz thank you for the reply. That is what I was hoping to do but screen doesn't work well for thick fog and a light colored background. I know it must be possible, video games like death standing do it well. I just couldn't figure out the secret
@@Yacine3Dz nevermind, I just googled death strandings fog system. They were using some complex precomputed look up tables to feed into their height fog, so it's not as simple as a color filter. That makes me feel a little better for not being able to figure it out 🙂
@@jameshughes3014 I think u have u render it without compositing if u wanna get perfect result, U can try Eevee, just add different color to the lights to match the scene.
@@Yacine3Dz . I used an identical scene copy to make sure lighting was the same in both - still just doesn't work right. It always comes out looking very thin, and wrong. I think you are right, it just is not ever going to be a good result. I eventually just bit the bullet and rendered the fog with cycles. It took forever but it looked great :)
Hey Yacine, I am 6 minutes in and the explanation is really beautifully done. If I could request some tutorials, can you please make some on beginner friendly geometry nodes or a series of it (if I may be a bit greedy). Thank you and all the best for future tuts. :)
Any suggestions on how to achieve adapt this to create an effect where rain follows centrifugal force, kind of like in assetto corsa with shader patch rain? I can send a video if you don't know what effect i'm referring to
Dear Yacine - i just bought this. where is the wetmap? i opened the file - i dun see any wetmaps linked - in the description it says i will get the files. but there is only one blend file. please help
i just checked again - NO sequence of images for the mask linked - in the description of the product it says - "you'll get a blend file, with all the materials, and a sequence of images for the mask"
Hi @K 3D, thank you for pointing this out, didn't recognize that issue, here is a link for the image sequence: drive.google.com/file/d/17nqxaqFxMI1Lql5gAzIcOz04BaB7TtVV/view?usp=sharing let me know if it worked for you.
@@Yacine3Dz Dear Yacine - thx you so very much for this wiper tutorial. 1 year ago - i found your raindrops tutorial and saved it for a rainy day - and now, it gets even better with the wiper. by far - this is the most realistic one i have come across. the files worked like a gem :)
yo, I really wanted to buy it cause I need it for a single shot, even typed in 10 bucks instead of 1 but for some reason this product is not to be sold in Ukraine!? what's up with that? "The creator cannot ship the product to the country you have selected." Edit: Omg, you live in Algeria and these platforms don't work well for you, I feel your pain paypal donation link also does not work, maybe I can send you some ETH or something? I know patreaon works with payoneer also. Saw that you have that linked on gdrive.
Hi @EdLrandom, thanks for supporting me, I really appreciate it. This issue shouldn't happen. I'll try to contact Gumroad support team to try to solve it. and the Paypal link stopped working a while ago. thanks for letting me know, I'll try to use a different platform like ko-fi.com.
@@Yacine3Dz is this the same file that's on gdrive? the setup is good but the cache is not working cause it's set to vertex paint instead of frame sequence and then I had to manually re-bake and open it in the shader, not bad for me but might confuse other users I would just switch to Vertex workflow with dancer mash and tell people to re-bake when downloading. Cheers!
Extraordinary job My own brother keep it up 💪💪
thanks brother 😁

Hi man ! Absolutely amazing tutorial ! Do I need to bake the image sequence when using cycles ?
Thank you 😊
I believe it works in cycles even without baking. However. It may have an impact on the performance or cause some error s.
very cool video, thanks for the breakdown
Thank you! I subscribed your channel 😆
amazing work!
Very well put! Thanks a lot

Oh is this a reupload?
Yah, the audio was messed up so I had to edit the video again 😅
Do you have any other blender - rain tutorials?
baking canceled ? how to fix

brilliant !
You are awesome
can you please make a double wiper?
how did you render the image sequence sideways.... when i bake mine its a square n all squashed nice vid by the way
Thanks 😊

@@Yacine3Dz Could you help me? When I try to render mine it just comes out looking black, I think the mask didn’t work.
It is possible to export this baked wipe effect to other aplications like 3ds max?
Yes, absolutely. Just make sure the UVs are set correctly. (Sorry for the late reply)
Thanks for your tutorial! How can I contact with you?
Hi, I hope you enjoyed the tutorial, here is my email: yacine3dartist@gmail.com
can't believe ur algerian bro
i'am algerian 2 btw
Is it possible to import this to Unreal Engine?

Yacine3Dz idk how to dm on youtube, but here’s the link. @ 10:00
ruclips.net/video/1thlbiEemUY/видео.html
I can try & find one where when you do a constant g turn the rain will follow the g forces instead of just going straight back too
I tried adjusting the drivers & rotation, but the shader doesnt rotate the way I thought it would in my head lol
Can this be exported to Unreal Engine?
thanks
nice
ur sick bro
That's fucking awesome...
18:20 feels bad. Can hear the intonation of being too kind to put a price for your work.
its good to have the option, I paid for the file but you can't really put a price on knowledge.
