    Thanks for the ride along once again, Lee and Q. As a fellow fan of history, thanks also, Lee, for the pill box tour.
    Yes, I for one appreciate all the work that goes into making these videos! Still photography is another of my hobbies, and I know how much work goes into even that.

    I can chill to this first song for so long. It's the perfect upbeat jazzy tune that you can't help but bop your head along to.
    I completely agree with the bit about that area being very rich in history. The lady and I want to visit sometime for that exact reason lol.

    if i do jumps and go of road should i get the belt drive, or pro belt drive or moon drive and are there any good alternatives for motor mounts for trampa trucks and do you know where to get a good battery box for cheap and do you think mounting esc enclosure and batttery with Velcro is a good idea. and one last thing do you need to trim the mbs pro 97 for motor clearance

    • @ducktaperules
      @ducktaperules 3 года назад

      If you plan to do a lot of off-road I recommend to go for gear drives. Belts can get packed with mud and break, gears are much lower maintenance. Were both on straight cut moon drives. Pelicase is a good battery case option, Robust and waterproof. Velcro is ok but better to bolt things down. Not sure about mbs decks. Hope this is all useful.

    It is appreciated how much gear you're carrying and the fact you not using an Insta360! ..those 'poor excuse' for a camera destroy cinematography! I usually have to do some lens correction in post with my old Gopro but it's worth it (removes hideous fisheye effect). Which Gopro are you using? P.s. great vid. (and Dad's Army lesson), thanks for sharing.

      hah! Well I am gutted... I took my drone out my bag just before we left (weight reasons) and learned a very important lesson with this adventure - ALWAYS TAKE TEH DRONE! so much so that I went and bought a Mini 2 straight after... I am using the gopro 9 with Max lens mod (its so good in bright conditions tbh)

    Quick question as it really bothers me... How about the legality of riding this stuff in the UK, I see you use it on public footpaths etc but I thought that it is illegal to use anything electric like an electric skateboard here?

    • @LeeWright
      @LeeWright  3 года назад +1

      It is totally illegal and you shouldn’t do it. You can get 6 points on your driving licence for it. I’ve been doing it since 2017 now.

    • @TheGolemPl
      @TheGolemPl 3 года назад +1

      @@LeeWright thanks for the quick response, I've read about this but thanks for confirming. I've also heard that the laws might be changing soon?
      I want to build my own electric mountainboard, I've got the board itself but I'm currently trying to work out how to build one on an extremely tight budget (main reason is I would only be legally able to use it around my estate) do you have any suggestion for an extremely basic build?

    • @LeeWright
      @LeeWright  3 года назад

      @@TheGolemPl I would say an MBS complete board from ATB shop, maybe a DW2 deck with Matrix 2 trucks and MBSF5 bindings. An ideaTB belt kit, then a Xenith from Apex, a pair of cheap lipos and some cheap enclosures from sandwich boxes or whatever. A VX1 remote (will be stocking soon) should finish off a pretty cheap build.
