Oh boy! I love these cards, but especially the first one! You know I love those colors! Hadn’t thought of using archival inks to smoosh. Really beautiful, Juliana!
Wow Juliana, the cards are amazing! I have all the materials except the latest distress archival colors. I ordered these. So I'm going to try it with the other colors ;-) thanks for the inspiration
This technique will only work with the Specialty paper. It is coated, so the inks and alcohol don't dry immediately. The inks will soak into the watercolor paper and dry very quickly. Hope that helps!
I was just wondering if dye-based inks even hold their color for a year if displayed in a frame...So, I googled Cardmaking with Archival Inks and your video drew me in immediately. Thanks for sharing your techniques!
Love these cards! Just wondering if the Ranger distress archival inks work well with clear stamps? I've noticed that normal distress inks bead up and give a really blotchy image, but the Ranger archival jet black I have works fine.
In my experience all Ranger Archival Inks (this includes the Distress Archival since they are the same formulation) will work well with clear stamps, however they will stain your clear stamps just like they do rubber stamps. Distress Inks weren't really created for stamping, but more for applying distressed ink techniques to paper, so the ink does tend to pool. However, this can be made worse if you happen to be using a poor quality clear stamp. Hope these tips help! Thanks so much for watching and reaching out!
I subscribed after seeing this video but I get seasick every time you bring your project towards the camera 😢 I did not enjoy that part. But keep up the good parts 😊
