Thanks for the nudge Carl! I appreciate the notion of pushing on modest goals rather than big and hairy goals! Plenty to think about here. Cheers!

Carl is really really wise what you say. It puts things in order in your head. I will check your pdf's for sure, and that's will be my first tiny goal for January of 2025 :)

A good start for folks looking for an exercise to do my suggestion would be go to a ParkRun event. It's a great way to be social, stick to a commitment, watch your growth, and get out and see the country, towns or cities as there are so may events on a Saturday globally. I've been to a few and you have people who are trying to get their PB for 5k (Parkruns are 5k in distance) but you have people walking the 5k loops as well plus everything in between. So just getting out to an event like this can check off your social/ community/ exercise/ self improvement and spirituality goals in just one Saturday morning.

It seems that I am not too far off, thanks! My first fitness target milestone was on the 15th of January and I over-achieved by the strava metric chosen. Salesforce training: I am slightly behind but should be back on track by the week-end. Overall, none are classical "good resolutions" and everything is targets including the planned races. For reading, I added a one hour block a week, because I read way too much in terms of articles and not enough in terms of completing one subject in depth with a book. Going outside: Natures negative numbers here in Canada, -4 or -5 as in Korea would be comfy, are completely thwarting the outside plans so far and expected to get worse. Some things you can't control and have to weather (pun intended)!

That's the right approach. When the weather gets in the way, it's okay to stop... If you must. (being British I run the the rain and snow. My Korean friends think I'm mad LOL)

Hello Carl, a very informative and inspiring talk. You explain it simply, but with depth. You can see that you have thought about the topic for a long time. Thank you very much.

Great video, but stop smoking should always be goal number 1. Then get to a healthy weight.

It was a long time ago and I had different priorities. Today, you're right, stopping smoking would have been my number one. But I did quit smoking a three or four years later.
