As an european living in europe I'm used to the fact that there is some sort of "different culture" every 100km (even within nations themselves). For an american this must be awesome af and overwhelming.
ulli_ulli yeah u literally travel 2 hours or something and all of a sudden its a new country with new language and different culture. (im also european)

the coloseum in pula is not fake. it was also build by the romans. there was a lot of arena like buildings around the roman empire
yea, but it is an "fake" as he said its not in Rome :D
Having a round stage with ranks around it is not really a roman invention.
Oh, it is very much a Roman one; most of their cities had a coliseum. It's just rare for them to still be in such a good condition.
I'm sure he just wanted to say that it was actually the influence of the Greeks on Roman culture
proggen4fun That is true; Romans copied a lot of the Greek culture, and theatres were deeply rooted in the concept of their towns.
However, this form of theater, a coliseum - or rather, a _circus_ , is distinctly Roman.
It's easily recognisable from its walls, a construction that uses pillars and arches to reduce the mass of solid stone in order to build higher. This was made possible by a Roman version of cement, a tool that hadn't been available to the Greeks.

If you are born in Berchtesgaden, you don't forget how beautiful your home is. It's like being upon a vulcano in bali or in a norwegian Fjord and thinking "really nice, but at home it is at least as beautiful as here." so thankful to live in one of the most magnificent places in germany!

You only visited a very small piece of Croatia...arguably the most beautiful country in the world. You need to visit the islands of Hvar, Brac, Korcula, Vis and the city of Split and neighbouring towns of Trogir and Sibenik. The Krka Waterfalls and the waterfall town of Rastoke are a must and amongst the most beautiful natural sites you will ever visit. And of Course you cant miss the big draw cards of Rovinj and Dubrovnik but the whole country could be declared a national park ...it is that good.
The Croatian lakes you were on, are respponsible for one of the main impressions Germans had of America. Haha. The Winnetou movies were made there, which are hugely popular here. It's the old west for us ;)
And the Spaghetti western are all shot in the Tabernas desert, near Almeria, Spain. There are still many locations from Clint Eastwood movies that are possible to visit.
Jeap this is the real wild West for Germanns :)

@@runear1 If I remember well, tolls are mostly in the south around Oslo, Kristiansand and Stavanger. For the rest roads were free. Only the many ferries cost some money. Travelled twice from the Nordkapp to Oslo by car. Amazing experience!
@ 11:20 you can see an enormous Flatscreen inside of the ancient stadium, they'll probably have public viewing of the worldcup matches there i guess. Pretty dope atmosphere I imagine

That's the fun thing about Europe, me and my friends went on a trip and saw a dozen or so countries or so in 5 weeks via interrail. You can fall asleep in a train and wake up 4 countries later.

I plan to do a roadtrip through Germany with my friends sometime in the future. The general idea is to not use the Autobahn and visit all the four outermost points of the german border clockwise from west to north to east to south and back home. And just stopping on the way whenever something intersting comes up.

If you stop calling it colosseum and call it amphitheater instead, you are right. There only exists one colosseum and it's name derives from a colossal statue standing in front of it the first few hundred years. The colosseum is not *a* colosseum but *the* colosseum. It's not a name for this kind of buildings (that'd be amphitheaters, and there are few of them that remained over the time) but for this particular building.
