Thank you so much for your well-recorded and easy-to-follow videos! My husband and I both have 2010 Honda Elite 110's and are nearing 600 miles on each of them. We want to do our first oil changes ourselves. Thanks to this video, we now aren't afraid to tackle it.
Just done mine myself. Really easy, make sure you do it yourself and dont pay someone else. Also done spark plug and air filter too, kinda easy. Got confident and done my drivebelt too, that is tricky but doable
This is a very nicely demonstrated video. But may I know how to check for oil level. We cant see the oil level in the video. Thanks for making such a nice video!
Good video. I use a 591 ml coke bottle on my metro, and that puts the level to the top always. The elite holds a little more oil so the bottle wouldn't help. Wow you oil was black. Mine is usually still caramel color.
Hi, could please record and publish how to clean the oil filter? I've been passing through serious problems with my Lead, most mechanists don't even know the oil filter should be cleaned with solvents and reused. Thanks!
Kara Sali stock comes with a 10wt fork oil you can use a heavier fork oil and it will make it feel firmer but to really make it firm heavier springs is needed
Also don't wait so long to change oil, you'll shorten the life of the motor that way. I expect my scoot to get 50k miles, but with your oil change interval you'll be lucky if you can get half that. I do it every 1k miles because this scoot has no oil filter and only holds about 0.7-0.8 liters of oil. Honda says to change oil every 5k miles.
I just bought one of these scooters today with 2700 miles...1 owner runs and drives beautiful. Problem is the owner lived on a super steep hill and the scooter has fallen over several times. I am going to touch it up and follow your videos to make sure it's tip top mechanically...about the oil you you said 5-30 weight but your container showed 10-30 weight.....which one do you really use?. Thanks and great vids. Very helpful. Joe I'm Chattanooga
Hi daBinChe my lead won't go past 40mph it's done 22.000 miles I've changed plugs oil filters but never changed the belt and rollers do you think that will be the problem
yeah the belt and rollers needs to be replace. I recommend 10k miles for those...think 15k is what honda says. Usually when I lose 5mph off top speed it is time to change those two and also the variator
+farmoboy83 the oil weigth is only a recommendation it depends on climate...Since I change my oil every 1,000 miles I currently use 0w-20 same as my car.
What is your opinion about motor oil from Eni 20W50 full synthetic API SG/ Jaso MA, Jaso MA2...can I use that oil for my Honda NHX 110 Lead? Location is West Europe
20w-50 is a little thick, it'll work but will consume more fuel, also in cold temps wouldn't be as good. Stick with what Honda says, 10w-30, I use 0w-20 cause that is what my Honda Fit uses and I don't feel like having a bunch of different oils, but I also change my oil much sooner then honda recommends. I'm in BayArea California so it doesn't get that cold or not too hot. You don't have to worry about the Jaso MA/MA2 ratings any modern motor oil will be fine.
+DaBinChe thank you! I changed today motor oil (Eni 20W-50) and cleaned the oil filter...let see how is doing. I changed also the gear oil 75W-140. Then air filter...I have now 15000km and the air filter was fat&black...😬😎...and thank you for your videos. Greetings from Vienna
The NHX110 top speed is about 84km/h with new drive parts and rear tire. The rev limiter kicks in above 9K RPM (I think around 9.2K). If top speed is lower then your drive parts and tire is wearing. As the drive parts wear the gearing gets lower, which makes the top speed less but you gain acceleration. Watch my other videos on how to increase tops speed.
This guy is a hack, don't follow him. NHX110 model takes a special molybdenum oil that is only made by Honda. Use the right oil. Check the owner's manual or call your Honda Powersports dealer. If you want reduced performance and premature engine wear then go ahead and use the Walmart oil that's "left over from your truck" and not even engineered for motorcycles.
Yeah you're right in a way, the supermarket brand oil is whack. But however, since it's a 4 stroke, you can just use some good car oil such as mobil or castrol. I prefer mobil over castrol tho
TJ Books You can drink that Cool Aid all you want while the dealership laughs all the way to the bank because of your ignorance. Next time look at the labels on the back of oil bottle tells you everything you need to know about what is okay to use. That moly that you are refering to is label as energy conserving on the API seal. Most all automobile oil has it except the really thicker viscosity. You don't want to use a motorcycle specific oil cause that stuff has no moly in it at all, they are meant for wet clutches, Moly will cause a wet clutch to slip. Scooters with CVT are a dry transmission so there is only a motor to lubricate so it is safe to use moly. Moly is used to get better gas mileage which reduces emissions. So go ahead and keep buying that $10 a quart bottle from the honda dealership while I pay $3 a quart for the same stuff.
I have many bikes and I average about 20k miles a year on my bikes...unlike you with your 30year old bike that only has 12k miles, more riding and less posing dude!

Great video. Thanks.
Got my scoot in March 2011 and have 7000 on it.
I will change my oil for the 1st time.
Thanks
At your rate, you are racking up miles faster then I am!
great job and appreciate the video-very informative
extremely helpful, thanks for making this video

Hi, could please record and publish how to clean the oil filter?
I've been passing through serious problems with my Lead, most mechanists don't even know the oil filter should be cleaned with solvents and reused.
Thanks!
No need to, engine and transmission is seperate. Honda recommends a 10w-30
Thank you very much very good informative video.
Bro where does coolant/anti freeze go in a Honda vision 50cc 2012
Veri instructed video tanks
I've still got my lead. 6k on the clock 2009. So 11 years old now. They cost about the same now as l paid new.
I like this video! All videos!
Thank you! Maybe it's possible to ask you: how can you make the suspension harder. Can you change the fork oil?
Kara Sali stock comes with a 10wt fork oil you can use a heavier fork oil and it will make it feel firmer but to really make it firm heavier springs is needed

Could you tell the best type of oil to buy for a Honda Lead 110cc 4 Stroke Scooter please...
Hi, can you show please also how you clean the oil filter (on the left side)!
once you remove it just wipe it down. Make sure you put it back in the same way it came out.
Great video - really helpful :)
What the distance that required to oil change?
Depends on environment. If dirt roads every 500miles, if clean pavement every 2000miles
Have you thought of getting a magnetic oil drain plug since there isnt any oil filter?
I have a magnet in the oil screen side that basically does the same thing.

joegolden481 I use what I currently have for the car so now I'm using 0w-20
Why didn't you use the lug wrench for both sides?
you can but socket wrench is easier, lug wrench keeps pressure even on the aluminum nut and stays square
What should I order when I buy crush washers? Would you be able to post an Amazon link to it?
OEM Honda part number: 94109-12000
take the bolt and go to a parts store like napa. find the old guy ask him to get you the same crush washer
Chavo
Hope u have more videos
Why don't you use motorcycle oil?
Hi daBinChe my lead won't go past 40mph it's done 22.000 miles I've changed plugs oil filters but never changed the belt and rollers do you think that will be the problem

Hi from Russia! Motor consumes oil? I use motul 5w40. What do you think is not too liquid?
the owners manual says 10w-30
Here in Portugal i can't find 5l cans of 10w30 oil!!! And in Honda it costs me 13,50euros every liter!!! Expensive has hell!!
+farmoboy83 the oil weigth is only a recommendation it depends on climate...Since I change my oil every 1,000 miles I currently use 0w-20 same as my car.
Where is the engine number is located it ?
all good thanks
Hi, do you have a video or instructions how to change fork oil on Honda nhx 110 lead ?
Do you have experience within?
It's in there
What you mean?
under NHX110 list of videos
DaBinChe thank you!

is this honda lead limits it self to 80km/h?

Hi, this scooter has oil filter?
soks No, only a oil screen that I check/clean every 10k miles.
Forgot to say: Honda Lead is how NHX110 is called in my country.

Ooh ok but I'm a little more cautious than you
Can you do a video how to change the fuel filter on this particular bike?
I have. Look for fuel pump replacement video
