Can I just change the gasket of my PCV valve I have a Volvo XC90. Instead of the whole cover

what is that black thing looking underneath attached to the filter?, never seen that before

+lexusfan100 Ya That was odd it was some type of foam.As you can see the new filer came with that foam on it also. Strange:)

+lexusfan100 The foam is called a pre-filter and is supposed to remove some of the larger pieces of dirt to make the filter itself last longer.
