    I'm really glad that they play final group games at the same time. Knowing what result you need to qualify is such a huge advantage.

    • @DTNenforcer
      @DTNenforcer 6 месяцев назад +4

      They didn't play the second group matches at the same time. Argentina always played at last knowing how all matches had ended, that is why Argentina knew they had to defeat Peru by 4 or more goals to qualify to the final since Brazil was going to qualify instead if they didn't defeat Peru by that required goal difference.
      Peru had a military government just as Argentina did, and the day of match the Peruvian president ordered the Peruvian team to let Argentina win without opposition and the match ended 6 - 0. Days later the Peruvian government received containers with wheat and money sent by the Argentinian government. Coincidence? Not a chance. Also, the Peruvian goalkeeper was born in Argentina which further increases suspicions.
      Argentina bought that title. They are even responsible for the kidnapping of Johan Cruyff, they will just never admit it.

    • @jptributer
      @jptributer 6 месяцев назад +2

      @DTNenforcer But of course you fail to mention that this advantage (knowing the result) was enjoyed by every WC host in every WC that was played using this format. Of course you won't mention that! That's not part of "the narrative."
      Also, you failed to mentioned that Peru hit the post twice in the first 10 min of the game... Because who doesn't hit the post when you are trying to lose? It's like THE WAY to pretend you don't "want to lose".
      It's not hard to believe that you will try and score as much as you can when you know how many goals you need, and that is not the same playing against a team that is already eliminated like Peru was. The problem was in the format. The peruvians always denied losing on purpose. And that whole "containers and money" thing is a myth, Argentina and Peru always enjoyed a great relationship. There was never any proof or conection, only conspiracy theories from haters like you.
      Next fantasy busted: Johan cruyff said HIMSELF that the "attempted kidnapping" of himself and his family, which took place more than a year prior to the WC, made him quit the National team, he didn't just quit the WC, he never played again for Netherlands. It happened in Barcelona when kidnapping of high profile people was very common by guerrilla groups. He was never actually kidnapped, the authorities foiled the attempt. But in your fantasies, argentina somehow was involved. :P
      Important thing is Argentina beat Netherlands in the final 3-1 fair and square with no controversy. In fact, with the game 1-1 Netherlands hit the post in the last minute which could have won them the WC. But it didn't happend, it went rightfully to Argentina. Keep crying.

    • @izcarpn.8208

      @DTNenforcer Argentina was favoured just as many hosts. But there were a lot less controversies than 1934 Italy or 1966 England (probably the worst of all).
      Argentina got the toughest group. They even lose to Italy and got to go to Rosario.
      They won fairly against an already eliminated Peru that even hit the goalpost twice in the game.
      And there is nothing strange in the final. The Netherlands could even won at the last minute.
      There is an awful double standard from Europeans when it comes to these things. They have the most stained hands in the sport but love to see that in non European countries.
      And can you tell me how the hell Argentina could kidnap Cruyff in Barcelona? Do you think we are the USA or something like that? You are absolutely overestimating our relevance.

      @@DTNenforcer All of Argentina's matches with the exception of the final kicked off at 7.15pm local time, so that the host’s matches could be seen by the Argentinian people on TV. All the other group matches kicked off at 1.45pm or 4.45pm local time, to suit television audiences in Europe. Also, as in the 1974 World Cup, it was agreed that the host nation’s matches should not be played at the same time as other games being played, so as to maximise the attendance at any matches not involving the hosts - remember international travel wasn't so easy back then, and half empty stadia was quite common at World Cups during the 1970's and 80's. There are a lot of people who have claimed that the kick off time for Argentina v Peru was changed in the week leading up to the match, but the kick off times for all games involving Argentina were announced long before the tournament started. What FIFA should have done, was delay the Brazil v Poland match to start at 7.15pm as well, even though that game would've been watched by a much smaller crowd.

      The problem is VAR. Notice that penalties for World Cup winning sides massively increased once VAR was implemented. Germany had still won the 2014 World Cup with only one penalty in 7 games. Argentina were given penalties that should never have been called and ultimately was probably the main factor (other being their goalie) why they won. Notice how players nowadays will always immediately drop themselves bc VAR only looks for contact. Problem is that football has always been a contact sport.

    • @DTNenforcer
      @DTNenforcer 4 месяца назад +2

      Besides the 5 penalties gifted to Argentine, there were the forgiven yellow and red cards, remember how messi abruptly stopped the ball with his hand in the match against Netherlands but the referee did nothing, or when another argentinian player fouled a dutch player and proceed to shoot the ball with all his force (while the ball was really close to the fallen dutch player) to the place where the dutch manager and rest of the team was for no reason and he wasn't even warned by the ref. The thing is that the argentinian players did what they wanted and they were hardly given cards, it looked like they knew they could do as they pleased and still get away with it. Also, remember how infantino and the qatar organizers stated they wanted messi to win the cup before the tournament even started, was that a confession of what was about to happen? You couldn't be more biased than that. Because of all of that you just can't simply deny that that world cup win was a shady one, like it or not, it was as shady or even more shady than the 1934 or 1978 editions, the worst world cup of recent times, nothing memorable nor legit to be honest.

    • @Jose-sy1je

      @@DTNenforcer I remember that scene against the Dutch. It was a yellow card type of foul. Then he kicked the ball full force at the Dutch bench, which would have been another yellow. In the next game against Croatia they were given a joke of a penalty that ruined the game.

      I actually think the 2022 World Cup was the one in which Fifa helped Argentina win. 5 penalties that should not have been given. Contact was either non-existent or too minimal to make it a penalty. Players nowadays know that VAR will only look for contact, so they will drop as soon as there is any or create contact to get the penalty. It has become a joke. In 1978, however, Argentina played far better than they were given credit for. In '86 Maradona did use his hand, but this view takes away from their overall performance. In 1982 Maradona was given virtually no protection from referees. 1986 was the greatest Word Cup performance by a player in the history of the sport.
