- Here's a short video on the value system we created that allow us to keep putting ourselves and our work out there, despite self doubt and our strong inner critics, and how these values help lessen our dependence on getting validation from external forces.
While getting validation from others is important when it comes to generation income for our work and content, it should not be the most important metric to pin our success against.

love your videos!! thank u
I was just thinking about the topic of values. Great video!
hope you find time to create your own set of values!
So much wisdom in under 6 minutes. Time to make my values list!
This is a 5 minutes video that took 5 years to learn and synthesize :D.
Thank You
Thanks for the reminder! It's so easy to try to make things you think will sell instead of being true to whole reason you're an artist to begin with....to share your perspective of life to the world!
very true!
You helped press the reset button on my outlook and approach. Thank you will never be enough for the impact you create.
Seriously Easy Sunday Club...get out of my head! 😄 it's a bag of cats and you don't wanna stay in there. Love love love your videos and concise info. Thank you for the work and heart you put into these videos.
:D you're welcome. Hope you find some clarity from defining your own set of values.
I really appreciate this one! I get it. my 'next step' today, is to simply draw. so I won't question my draftsmanship so much. thanx, Cathy.
This is amazing - Thank You
Thanks Steph!
Thanks very much for making this video. As an artist with a new but reasonably successful channel I still suffer enormously from doubt and indecisiveness and it was great to see your five values explained so clearly.
Thanks
This is a beautiful piece of information. Having values. I'm all over the place with mine and haven't drawn or made anything new in months. I've been feeling stuck... remembering why I started, how I felt when I first started my business and what my values were is what I think I should do x
That is such a good reminder! I also try to reminder the joy I felt when I made my first sales to keep me grounded and keep enjoying the process.
The whole happiness study is interesting. I saw a video talk - may have been under the general umbrella of ‘positive psychology. ‘ People one year later were about as happy as they had been previously, after some challenge. And their predictions were often inaccurate , “hey, if I lost this job it would be . . . how would I cope ?” Then later they say things like, “wow , losing that job was one of the best things that ever happened to me.” 😀
Yup! From personal experience on the job front, that definitely rings true for me.
Love the video! The values you shared seem spot on for you in how you show up for others and share information.
Thank you for saying that!
I needed to hear this today, thanks for sharing! We are all so affected by this in our modern "instant gratification" society. Personal values are so important to put things in perspective.
well said!
This is very helpful! 👍🏽 Thank you! 😊
Thank you for watching!
