@robokill387 someone calling a speech loss episode "going nonverbal" does not prove or disprove how much love or support they hold towards nonspeaking autistics. @@ianh1504 Hahahaha. That reminds me of something a bit more serious, but it was empowering (and upsetting, at the same time.)
I sat in the train and long story short, a man was taking pictures under my skirt, but I noticed the phone being slipped in between the chairs and him tapping the screen. He himself was loudly whistling and facing forward, not looking at the footage (yet.)
So as soon as I noticed, I waited until he checked his pictures and adjusted the camera accordingly, after which the tapping-of-the-screen began again and I leaned forward to the camera, stuck up both middle fingers and showed my teeth with a slightly comical 'GRRR!" face.
He took the phone back, looked at the pictures in chronological order, so when he got to the last ones, he skipped through them real fast, gasped, turned around, I gave him the middle finger, he jumped up and ran faster than I've ever seen any man run and gone he was.
Same happened with another guy and my sandals/feet once, but I was not quick enough to understand what he did.
Either way, I also thought it'd be funny to print out one of those "Please wait, the programme will resume..." -pictures and just put your phone in front of it, haha. xD Or end my phone-use with a; 'You have been watching the broadcast of Emma, we will be back in the morning, thankyou and goodnight.'

Seriously women collectively keep saying you can just not speak/comment if you have to make it about what you find attractive because it’s weird, no one is trying to fck you because they exist, and we didn’t ask! Who needed to know this? The comment section needs to know you sexualized her voice? How does that benefit her and not just make those comments normalized? It’s like you hate progress and women. Or you’d shut up sometimes. Yes neurodivergent women will just tell you that it’s not amusing because we hate bs and don’t see the point of indulging it. Also, if you tell an autistic woman that, she’s gonna look at you like you like you’re an idiot that just called her a dog so maybe get a journal if you need to express so much because we do not care and it’s extra weird to make the comments a sexual objectification forum like you think that’s the best women deserve. Like dude I would be
So extra with my voice and point out the worst thing about you if that’s the first into you’ve got to say after my comedy(a comment on my accent like a fricken dolt. You’ll really love the men’s huuusky voices around here.) you probably have fetishes of certain women. No one wants to breathe a bunch of dirty things in your ear holes, huskily , Steven😢.
*exhales harshly to produce “husky” tone* - “Thank ya! Ya ‘ave got sucha stench o’ dog fur an’ must about ya’!” *walks away happily*

So she’s not a delicate flower. And that’s fine. Women are women. We don’t have to be flowers for men. You don’t even know her sexuality. Not that it would be more appropriate if she was cishet. But to assume she wants to be your delicate flower...in trying to be nice, but as a woman I have to let you know this comes across very infantilizing to us and often just creepy. We do not know men who leave these comments, we don’t all welcome the type of comment, and it’s generally better to just stick to saying what you thought of our content than anything else so that we can be taken seriously. Because all you’re doing is making it okay for men to say weird things to me and my friends who are often like lesbians. But men think women exist for you all and it is so uncomfortable to not have a place where we just are appreciated for our work or left alone when the time is right without male commentary on our bodies, voices, clothes, deciding we’re non human, and then imagining us in scenarios that you share without consent. It’s not cute or romantic. It’s invasive. Seriously stop telling us and everyone else who we love, will love, might love. Or your dreams of love involving us. We will let you know if there are feelings and if you can’t meet us or catch our attention in a dm with a normal hi, how are you, then it’s not meant to be . 🙃 if you already know it isn’t, rule of thumb is just say you think the video is funny or whatever it relevant, then move on

The auto-subtitles do help, mostly. Some of the more thickly accented or softly-spoken bits get mangled, though.

Watch some Derry Girls it helps 😂. I might be on the spectrum or it might be RAW but I tend to start speaking with some of the accent if watch too much. This never has a good outcome.

The diagnosis seems wrong to be honest. She was also diagnosed with something else earlier on and threw that out the door, picking the one she prefers, autism. I'm guessing it's more a PTSD traumatized person thing. Obviously, I don't\can't know and this is an entirely baselsss opinion I shouldn't even bother sharing. But it sure looks like autism has been greatly expanded as a diagnosis and just about anyone can have it, even when acting well within a normal range. Seems silly when many autistic people are incapable of interacting with the world. What she has should be called something else.

"Even when acting well within the normal range" is kinda yikes man. It's a spectrum, and many aspies mask.

@@foxygrin Placing such wildly different expressions ofnbehavior under one umbrella is what I'm arguing against. Some people with autism cannot function, and some are like her. Being able to mask should be called something else because the set of symtoms isn't the same.

@@foxygrin Also, how come she culd so easily toss aside the other diagnosis and yet this one is for sure the right one? I suspect that traumatized people can express behaviors that mirror many other disorders and that trauma greatly increases the need for a foundation of identity. Some word to wrap up everything to feel less confused, more rooted into a solid identity framework. I get the feeling that our current mental health definitions will be proven quite silly in the long run. It's treated as a rigorous science when it's just a bunch of guesses.
