I find it so annoying when foreigners that most likely have never even been to Crimea are spamming the comment section with "Crimea is Ukraine". I think we know better what country we are part of. We joined Russia in 2014, it's time the world accepts it and moves on.

Understandable when most ppl living there are identifying themselves as Russians over Ukrainian that many are positive.
However, you can't just attack a Country and claim it to be yours!?
What's next? A muslim state claims parts of Europe because they are dominant in that area?

      You didn't join Russia
Crimea is de jure Ukraine(it will be de facto Ukraine in 2023)
Russia occupied Crimea and conducted a sham referendum under military occupation(a referendum under military occupation is illegal by international law) and "annexed" Crimea
      Don't worry
In 2023 Ukraine will retake Crimea
If you don't like it you can move to Russia
The world will never recognize an illegal referendum
Only a limited number of dictatorships and failed states like North Korea,Belarus,Bolivia,Cuba,Afghanistan,Nicaragua,Sudan,Syria and Venezuela recognize Crimea as part of Russia

Crimean here. For anyone who is still "so concerned about our fate as a territory", here's a recap of what life was like before 2014 VS what it's like nowadays. There were a lot of abandoned buildings, everything in disarray, no maintenance, and almost no development of the region. Nowadays everything is being repaired or replaced, a lot of improvement (including roads), new buildings are built. Economical situation is way better. Salaries are better too. As for other problems, under Ukrainian rule, electricity was shut down every day, 2-3 times a day for many hours, and no tap water for days or even weeks. Nowadays it doesn't happen. We often slept dressed in winter clothes head to toe due to lack of heat (central heating was down as well). I still remember how my mom used to wake up at 5 in the morning and wait outside for a special water supply vehicle, so she'd fill and then bring buckets of water all the way up to the 7th floor (no elevator due to frequent power cuts, and it also broke often!). Also, there's finally no pressure: we're predominantly Russian-speaking people, but at some point, we faced such issue as forced ukrainization. Schools, universities and other organizations were ukrainized against people's will. Fortunately, I moved to Moscow before it happened to my school, but my family members and friends weren't as lucky. Russian-speaking kids and students were forced to study in Ukrainian, which they barely knew. I only studied Ukrainian 2-3 times a week, but other classes were in Russian. Our Ukrainian teacher refused to talk to students unless they spoke Ukrainian with her (in a Russian-speaking school). And there were very few Russian TV channels, we had to watch like 70-80% of content in Ukrainian. Besides, there were a lot of issues with legal paperwork and all that stuff, some laws (or absence of such) were ridiculous and only made people's lives difficult. Plus, you could easily expect your place to be taken over by some strangers while you were gone on vacation or somewhere else, nowadays it doesn't happen, there's much more order. So... Now that you know this information, go ahead, tell me what's better for my people and who we are ;)

Soon I'm gonna start REALLY traveling, Western Europe, Russia (from St Petersburg to Perm and anything else I can see) and then Africa. So I watch a lot, and I study language in prep. In fact I start studying Russian next month and probably watch 10 Russia based vloggers. Some have huge numbers some have numbers just 100 views or less.
It might surprise you but lots of black people around the world are stating to travel. I'm leaving the US and others are leaving the UK and the Caribbean. There might be a space for you that can really grow here. I know there's a married US/Russia couple who I think are in...Novosibirsk. Russia did not send Russians to Crimea. They were there for generations before 2014. Crimea was part of Russian Empire. They took it from Ottoman Turks, long before Ukraine even existed as a state. Crimea was given to Ukraine in the 1960s by Khrushev. Now it is part of Russia again.

International law states Crimea is part of Ukraine
Almost all UN countries (including China) recognize Crimea as part of Ukraine
