I actually just came across your channel in my feed. I'm happy to support you and other fellow content creators. That's a beautiful bike ! Keep up the great work and ride safe out there.
thank you so much! it means so much as i’m sure you know, i love doing it and the community is great. so much more to come for my bike and i’m excited! ride safe!
yeah it had a stage one tune done to it when i purchased the bike from the first owner, so it had a stage one hi flo breather but i went to a heavy breather, ultimately i bought a dynojet and used a map they had closest to my mods and its ran fine ever since!
i want to say yes but i am not entirely too sure, i know you can add a fairing to a roadking, not sure if you can strip a fairing to make it look like a king
I think you don’t necessarily have to retune. However anytime you get a different type of breather or exhaust, if it’s not the exact same you will notice a improvement with a new tune.
@@seabass_m nice! I just got a stage 1 on mine. Had them do a power vision tune on the dyno. Can’t believe the improvement. I never thought a stage 1 would make such a difference. Think I’ll go ahead and do a stage 2 shortly.
You need to retune. I am guessing your bike is a 2007-2008. I have a 2005 Road King Classic with just 74,000 miles. Depending on your miles you need to check your cam chain tensioners. The outside one usually last a long time. The inside one tends to not last as long. Next thing is to replace the stock primary chain tensioner. I use a South Oregon Hot Bike tensioner that is hydraulic and has worked really well for 60,000 plus miles. The stock primary tensioner can over tighten the chain and cause damage to your flywheel, transmission shaft or both.
i’ve bought the dyno jet tuner and will be tuning the bike in a video! also yes it is a 08 Roadking with 30,xxx miles. I appreciate your input, thank you for watching as well!
@@seabass_m You are welcome. At 30,xxx miles you are about 5,000 over the point of checking the tensioners for the camshaft chain. I have done it on a friends bike. It is not hard. Just takes time and tools. Cyco tensioners are better than the HD ones. I have a new question for you. Do you have the stock shocks on the bike? If you do make sure you have enough air in the shocks based on your weight from the manual.
@@fogit4668 I was just looking up when to check the cam tensioners for my 08 which is a 96 motor and have seen that my motor comes with the hydraulic cam tensioner already, does that sound right? You make a good point to check them and i will be doing that. I have not checked the air in the rear shocks, they are the stock ones and i do want to replace those air shocks to spring shocks and lower 1” front and back.
@@seabass_m Yes your 96" will have hydraulic cam chain tensioners. I am pretty sure they are to be checked at 25,000 miles. You have to pull the camplate to check the inner shoe of the cam chain hydraulic tensioner. When to do that you want to make sure you catch all of your oil that comes out of the dry sump and measure it. If you measure more than 4 to 6 ounces you have an oil pump that is not really working well. The other hydraulic tensioner I am talking about can be seen on youtube here ruclips.net/video/PqUa1f7BW9U/видео.html this video is of the one you would actually need.
@@seabass_m With your exhaust if you lower your bike you will scrape the tips often and then have a horrible ride along with it. You can get an air ride suspension for front and rear that allows you to raise and lower it as you go and stop. It only cost about $3,500+.
Adjuster pal with insurance company to remain un mentioned will tell you NO the deer whistles don't work nor do Gremlin Bells... Nice ride looking at a 2014 in whiskey amber color.
they are very comfortable and they are actually much better for tight turns because you gain leverage, i’ve made several tight turns with them with no issues, just gotta get your technique down with them, the stock bars are the worst and very uncomfortable at least they were for me
like i said, i don’t know but i haven’t seen a single deer! i like to just believe they work and if not they add a cool touch to the fender in my opinion 🤣
@@seabass_m a week after my brother in law put them on his car, he hit a deer. Totaled his car. He had a number of friends with the same experience. Keep your eyes open and enjoy the way they look on your bike. Ride safe.

Beautiful Roadking
Nice…really nice. Love the chrome! Well done!
thank you! still not done, i don’t think it’s ever done 🤣
Love my Road King. Great bike.
couldn’t agree more, i love how versatile it is
Nice video and bike my guy! I go pick mine up tomorrow 13 RK
keep those knees in the breeze!
Thats my bike! 2008 sunglo red. Mine is bone stock though. Just bought it. Can't wait to start some "upgrades"😊
i love the color and the bike! can’t wait for you to start your upgrades! enjoy the ride 🤙🏽
You absolutely have to tune after an air filter mod if you havent done it already. Sick bike man. I have an 04 road king too. Luxury teal color.

It looks great....slowly but surely. Wheels do really make the bike. I put the HD Agressors on my Road King.
oh i agree, i can’t wait to get some wheels, those aggressor wheels are really nice as well
Nice looking bike and sounds good to. I’m subscribed
thank you! the support is appreciated!
Nice looking King !
Thank you! We're not even close to done.... we never are though
Great video, and great looking bike. Have you ever tried a leaf blower to dry your bike? That works well for me.
i have not used a leaf blower to dry my bike, it’s something i’ve wanted to do so that might just be a purchase this year!
Long live the Road King
that’s right man!
Nice bike 👍👍
thank you sir!
Hi, I have the same bike 08 and color! What is your heavy breather please? Hd or ordre brand ? Merci
i have the harley-davidson screaming eagle heavy breather on my roadking!
I have a question if I have a glide with that huge bat wing in the front is it possible to make into a road king front end ??
i want to say yes but i am not entirely too sure, i know you can add a fairing to a roadking, not sure if you can strip a fairing to make it look like a king
What size apes and what's the throttle cable length
18” ape hangers, no throttle cable for me i got throttle by wire
Any idea where those bag guards came from? Awesome bike bro!
yeah! they are harley davidson brand, they are called Twin Rail Chrome Saddlebag Guard Kit! thank you so much for your support!
Does the heavy breather not get in the way of your leg or knee?
not at all man!
❤
