I remember when tarantula dropped, my grandma bought me the album & Stankonia at Walmart knowing my parents would never let me get that. The fellas in the hood would tease and fuck with me because i listened to the Beatles. Dont get me wrong, i still grew up and listened to r&b, soul, and early rap but they were tripping about me listening to the Beatles. When i was at home around my family, i would turn the volume down when their songs came on the radio. When i was in the Navy in the late 80's, i used to loan my Beatle mixtapes to my white shipmates😅. Now with the technology(YT and Amazon), i listen to them whenever i want, but my wife hates them too. People in the Beatle comment section's be telling me to find another wife😁but she never listened to them 'til she met me, so I understand. Nice story. I'll give you something totally opposite. I'm a 53yr old black man from Memphis. Back in the early 80's i fell in love with Beatles music. The fellas in the hood would tease and fuck with me because i listened to the Beatles. Dont get me wrong, i still grew up and listened to r&b, soul, and early rap but they were tripping about me listening to the Beatles. When i was at home around my family, i would turn the volume down when their songs came on the radio. When i was in the Navy in the late 80's, i used to loan my Beatle mixtapes to my white shipmates😅. Now with the technology(YT and Amazon), i listen to them whenever i want, but my wife hates them too. People in the Beatle comment section's be telling me to find another wife😁but she never listened to them 'til she met me, so I understand. Point is, music should NEVER be identified with a certain group, race, religion, etc.

I'm a 63 year old black female and I always have loved Elvis Presley I recently had a birthday and my friends gave me a birthday party and they surprised me with Elvis music and memorabilia I had a ball I was laughed at for the dances I was doing but I had a ball a few years ago my son moved to Memphis and I went to visit him and he asked me where did I was to go I told him to take me to Graceland and I saw sooooo many Elvis impersonaters ❤️ Enjoy what you enjoy and love who you 💕 love

I love this interview…this man has interviewed a lot of people but it’s clear in my opinion mystikal ran this interview with his honesty and energy!!
Mystikal is a good dude! Humble. Been through a lot, seen a lot. Hate he lost some of his best years in prison for something he didn't do. Happy he has a positive perspective and getting back to music. Like he says love conquers all!
