(SPOILERS) Adult Poof (Peri) appears in “Fairly Odd Parents: A New Wish” (Clip)

Poof "Peri" Fairywinkle-Cosma is the son of Cosmo and Wanda, whose most notable spoken word is "Poof", which Timmy decides upon as his name. He is named after a common "Poof" onomatopoeia seen throughout the show when wishes are granted by fairy godparents. He was born to Cosmo and Wanda in the episode, "Fairly Odd Baby" after his parents decided that they wanted to have a child despite the destruction that his father had caused as a baby. Poof is voiced by Tara Strong in the cartoon and live action, Fairly Odd Movie. Poof's first spoken words in the live-action movie are voiced by Randy Jackson while he later speaks in the cartoon in the episode, "School of Crock." Poof also made a small cameo on T.U.F.F. Puppy in the episode, "Mall Rat" as a fountain statue in his fish form.
While Poof was absent from the beginning of Season 10, the reason being to prevent too many characters from being in one episode, he returns in "Certifiable Super Sitter," which is his only appearance in the season.
He then made a bigger return in A New Wish, after being absent in Fairly Odder, starting in the episode "Lost and Founder's Day", with him being now an adult, going by the name "Peri", and serving the role of Dev Dimmadome's godparent

Serving as a continuation of the original series, The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish tells the story of Hazel Wells, a 10-year-old girl who has recently moved to the city of Dimmadelphia because of her father's new job. On top of being in an unfamiliar environment, it is also the first time she has been without her older brother, Antony, who left to start college, leaving her feeling lonely and unsure of herself. All that changes when their pink-and-green-haired neighbors next door reveal themselves to be no ordinary neighbors, but fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda, who come out of retirement to become Hazel's fairy godparents.

I love how how he has traits from his parents. He got his hair swirl from Wanda and the structure of his face from Cosmo. Not to mention Cosmo's original used car salesman personality and style. And his rattle evolving to a pimp cane? Brilliant!

Apparently Poof is a slur in some countries so that's reason number 1.
Plus I actually don't mind it. The fact he changed his name gives us a lot about what kinda character poof is. The fact he went out of his way to reinvent himself... it makes me wonder about his relationship with his parents.
