Fantastic job. I love the warmth of it all from the floors to the counters to the accessories. I might try the mirror ceilings as well in one of mine. If only it would work over the bed! 😅
Bathroom looks great! You’re gonna love your Raritan Marine Elegance heads. I’m a believer. We have them in both our heads on our President. They work flawlessly. Raritan is great with shipping parts as well, for those times guests ignore our signs and try to flush material the heads don’t like. I think I could tear mine apart blindfolded by now. 😂😉
Same on mine, no shut off valves. Learned the differences between 1/2. Copper pipe and 1/2 inch copper tubing.. got compression fitting and installed the shut off valves. Little disappointed Hatteras didn't think of them.
You continually inspire me to tackle projects on my boat. The visual transformation of the master head is incredible; and, it’s not complete! Merry Christmas, Happy tax season and fair seas to follow you in the New Year.
I like that rope trim under the counter as well as in the corners and above the back splash. Also, the hammered copper on the switch plate and the towel rods and face of the sink cabinet really pulls it all together. Nice Work.
Wow I love the new countertops and flooring! It made a very nice upgrade so you should be proud of your work. I also love your friends Silverton. Merry Christmas!
The head remodeling is looking great! Inspiring me to do something similar to the head compartment on my Chris Craft Catalina 281. It’s all cold, molded fiberglass. I certainly could lay an overlay on the small counter top around sink and apply a wall covering of my (wife’s!)choice.
Clever tip regarding the mirror ceiling! We have a Chris Craft Commander 47 and have been looking for ideas on how to improve the aft bathroom and we believe your tip fits our need!
Great improvement and always enjoyable to watch you two live the good life. Thank you for a great video (and the accompanying progressive jazz background) Oh, and by the way, if you haven't done so, next time you're in Florida, check out Heidi's jazz club , Coca Beach...a wonderful venue.
Great job, had my doubts at first but really like the rope style finish but, I would have painted that Chrome shower door and frame flat black. my two cents.
@@tryingnottosink9107 small tip.. If you thumbs up or "love" peoples comments it helps drive the algorithm.. keep the vids coming and stay safe and healthy.
Hey, that's looking really good! I LOVE it! It will rival the forward head, which you know was my fave! Lol... no shut off valves on mine either... lines sweated into the faucet. Such a pain!!! Did you use sharkbits or sweat on new cutoffs? I'm still plugging away on my Hat...finally getting to do some cosmetics!
I see your Hatteras maybe had a sliding mirrored cabinet door hiding the porthole at one time like my 45 Chris Craft. Strange setup. I agree with your idea of not trying to get the old counter top out. That’s too big of a job for very little benefit. Are you going to have any 12 volt lighting in the head? Hope you continue to keep doing the remodeling and repair videos. I like them the best. If I tried to make one it would be R rated with all the cussing that is involved.
Looks great! Nice design. I love the detail and the mirrored ceiling is a great idea. Consider that stolen. What kind of saw blade were you using to cut it? It may never be an issue, but just be aware that the Loctite PowerGrab adhesive that you used for the countertop is not known to work well in humid or wet environments. They made a version for shower walls and such, but I haven't seen it in years (not that I've looked). I have used the stuff you used before on the boat and the bond failed within months. I am pretty sure that Loctite makes a version specifically for the marine environment. If you find yourself having to re-adhere the top, you might want to look for it, or just use 4200. Nice work, Ed!
Merry Christmas! Love the results. Would you mind sharing the link or brand of wallpaper? I'd love to redo my cloud patterned Formica walls in my heads also.
Lynn, assuming your sink base cabinet is that sort of formica finish in most Hatts, how did you prep it to take that hammered finish paint? Which looks great, by the way!
Each stateroom has a theme on our boat. The Rum locker, the Pirates Den, The Mermaid Quarters, and the Captain's Lair. We wanted it to be different from the other heads.
Looks great, love the sink and the copper finish looks awesome.
Looks great, much better looking.
Thanks! It was a huge improvement.
Nicely done Cap!
Thanks!
The room is for the captain's logs 😅😂😅
Fantastic job. I love the warmth of it all from the floors to the counters to the accessories. I might try the mirror ceilings as well in one of mine. If only it would work over the bed! 😅
We're glad you like it! The mirrored ceiling definitely creates a sense of spaciousness. Over the bed would be fun!
Pays off being handy - Ed you did a incredible job - well done

You really brought the head up to 21 st century style! Well done!

I hope your project goes well!
I love, LOVE the project videos and upgrade videos, and cruise and hanging out videos and exploring and well, guess i enjoy your videos 🤷
Thanks. We are glad you enjoy them!
Im not sure you are going to like the sink kitty cornered. You will have to lean way over…..Looks good.
I have used it a few times already and it doesn't bother me.
It looks great! What a huge improvement without a big price tag! Merry Christmas guys!
Merry Christmas!
Great job, looks like a nice upgrade/update.
Thank you!
100% improvement...nice work captain
Yes, thanks
Nice work looks great.
Thank you.
Clever tip regarding the mirror ceiling! We have a Chris Craft Commander 47 and have been looking for ideas on how to improve the aft bathroom and we believe your tip fits our need!
If you use them, add more two-faced tape than they give you. We had to add more.
Sink & counter top looks fabulous! I have those same heads on my Hatt and we ❤ them. And Lynn, keep the dad jokes coming!
We are very happy with them as well. You mean "Mom" jokes! 😁
Looks great, way better than the old bath!
It does!
Very nice guys! Massive improvement. I may have to copy a few aspects when we tackle our head.
Glad you liked it!

Love it looks really good, well done.
Thank you! 😊
Looks good! If you don't do a lot of remodeling, things can turn out not the way you envisioned. But this came out nice.
Thank you!
Well done Ed and Lyn ! It looks fantastic! Nice job, the sink at an angle bugs me but that's just me. Carry on...
Thank you! We appreciate it!
Big improvement; upscale for sure! 👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks!
Looks Nice!

Thanks! We didn't know there was a Jazz Club at Cocoa Beach. We went to the one in the village many times. I think it is called Blind Lion.
It really did come out nice
Thank you.
Looks good to me!

Looks good

Looks fantastic!
Thank you.
Love the bathroom wow
Thanks!
Very nice.
Thank you!
Great job, had my doubts at first but really like the rope style finish but, I would have painted that Chrome shower door and frame flat black. my two cents.
We are actually considering painting the shower frame. But most likely copper.
Looks good. Big bang for your buck..
We agree!

I think it turned out great. Want to know if the faucet slooshes when underway?
We love it!
looks great I think you need to update the shower door
Lyn decorated the doors in the other bathrooms. She'll have to do the same to this one.
Oh the puns 😆
I think we were getting stir crazy!

The round lights on the ceiling are 32 volt. We are leaving them for now. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Love it 😊
U guy’s nailed it that head
looks Amazing
Thank you. We love it!
Drink often and heavy ! Merry Christmas !
Cheers! Merry Christmas!
Amazing job capturing. But how much was that toilet? It looks fantastic!!!
It was around $1200, with the fresh and sea water option.
Looks great! Nice design. I love the detail and the mirrored ceiling is a great idea. Consider that stolen. What kind of saw blade were you using to cut it?

Thanks! It was just a regular wood-cutting blade on my table saw. Thanks for the tip.
Merry Christmas! Love the results. Would you mind sharing the link or brand of wallpaper? I'd love to redo my cloud patterned Formica walls in my heads also.
Merry Christmas. It was just off the shelf at lowes.
nice job skip
Glad you liked it!
What kind of new toilet did u get? Keep up the great videos and love how u explain everything!
Raritan Elegance. We like them a lot.
that looks incredible. wow only $800
Thanks!
Great job guys, looks awesome. Who christened the new head, lol?
No one yet. I still need to make a couple water connections.
Lynn, assuming your sink base cabinet is that sort of formica finish in most Hatts, how did you prep it to take that hammered finish paint? Which looks great, by the way!
We didn't prep it. We ran a test and the paint seemed to stick well. We'll see how it holds up.
Was that your chop saw/table saw and if so where do you stash it ?
We keep it in the corner of the salon when we are in port but put it in the car when we go on trips, since we leave our car at the marina.
@@tryingnottosink9107 ah that makes sense .. Thanks..
Looks awesome! Don't forget the Raritan head was probably 1k?
Yes, it was $1200, but we bought it as a repair job a couple years ago and never installed it, so I left it off the budget. Thanks!
What wallpaper did you use?
Just something from Lowes. The glue was not very good so we had to add some of our own in spots.
@ I’ll be redoing all the headliners and wall coverings on our Hatteras 53 ED, and am looking for ideas on what to use.
IMO it increased the value of your boat about 10K 🍻
I hope so!
Uh, WHY do you want it to look like an old pirate ship?
Each stateroom has a theme on our boat. The Rum locker, the Pirates Den, The Mermaid Quarters, and the Captain's Lair. We wanted it to be different from the other heads.
My God that's one tacky remodel....
Boats don't have "master bathrooms"
Not everyone who watches our channel understands boat terminology, so we sometimes use regular English.
You can call them whatever you want. On my boat I call it the Captain’s Quarters because that’s where I do my best work!
I can't believe you putting that cheap stuff in it won't you put some marble or granite in there
Just because your brain has a thought doesn’t always mean you should share it. You want a certain top then go install one in your 60’ boat.
SICK OF MARBLE,,GANITE,,,,ITS KOOL & GROOVY..
Not to mention you don’t use a porous stone near water. Unless you like mold of course.
I guess he didn't understand the theme we were going for.
Head
Looks great, job well done.
Thank you! We are so happy with how it turned out.
