I visited visa violation office at Istanbul Airport, officer checked my passport n boarding pass but he did not tell me fine and said u can go now. T stamped on my boarding pass. Salam i want to share the experience of someone i know very well: He is from an european country and overstayed for 44 days in turkey in April 2024 In the airport he was asked to pay 8000Lira or get a 6month ban. He chose the ban and didn't pay anything Hopefully this doesn't have any longterm consequences. @Burak Unal , do you know if this can be saved on the passport and cause longterm problems?

Only visa violation officers know the exact amount. Go with cash money to the airport to pay it. Turkey doesnt care where you go as long as you pay the money. If you have visa to france, it shouldnt be a problem.

The immigration ask me to sign a paper and he said I am not allowed to enter the said country for 3 months, and when I get back after 3 months I need to pay it.

The calculation of fee depends on your nationality. It is better to ask it to visa violation officer at airport.
