Thank you so much for explaining this. I have been looking for this information for a long time. More car review should include this kind of stuff so that we know what packages look like and what cars look like without any packages.
Great information, bro. Just a minor correction BMW does NOT support Android Auto yet. They just announced last week, however, that they will be supporting it starting mid 2020
Gonna get a lot of flack for this but I found the CIC I believe it was called Nav system on the 2011-2012 E9x bmws where some of the cleanest easiest to use and straight to point system I’ve used in a while. No unnecessary tiles or stupid voice controls etc. and the controller after using it for about a week was so damn efficient I was able to operate it off muscle memory without taking my eyes of the road in most cases. I haven’t actually used the new systems since last years version on the 3 series and I wasn’t that big of a fan of it
I've just ordered a m135i xdrive and I'm curious as to the size infotainment screen it will come with, according to the order information it tells me it will be supplied with 'live cockpit professional' what size screen does that mean
Cool, but I use Siri on Apple Car Play which is infinitely superior to anything BMW might invent for navigation. I used to think the car manufacturers had great navigation, but I started to use Apple, and even get warning about speed and stop light cameras.
you have to raise your standards, you said "hey bmw give me directions to the nearest taco bell" and the system comes back with which taco bell do you want. android auto gives you what you ask for directions to the taco bell that is closest to you
There's nothing wrong with that. I prefer having options to pick. I don't go to the Taco Bell closest to my house because it's more or less in the ghetto. I prefer selecting which one along a route. That makes more logical sense from that perspective
@@Deriggs007 I see what you're saying here, but the keyword here was "the nearest Taco Bell". If the system doesn't produce that, it simply suggests that it either doesn't understand the question or it understands but doesn't know the answer
Hi. How did you manage to get the map at 2:31. It looks like a full screen map and I'm unable to get that screen on my car. It's always showing the options on the rigth hand side...
BMW is a rip-off, the only company that charges a yearly fee for Apple carplay, and no Android auto, Japanese cars that cost half the price have these features for free.
its very odd that bmw and merc have similar command system like ..Hey bmw or Her Mercedes. Its like they had secret internal meeting to discuss future tech features...which is illegal.

Much better then the dealers genius... Thank you just bought 2021 x5

Fantastic review. thank you.

Thats what happens when you get mechanical engineers to write high level code.

So when am I supposed to actually look at the road? I like the tactile buttons and knobs with a bigger screen.
American car reviews always want directions to the nearest Taco Bell.
How to you get the album art to show where the rpm right hand side is?
Take me to the nearest taco bell i need a koolaid
What model is this BMW

When rich people pay any price then why wouldn't they take advantage of them.
Yes this is sad. What is also sad is that there isn't a Japanese car as nice as BMW.
