I’m wondering how the empty Arcow hoppers managed to reverse into the sidings at Helwith Bridge only about 20 minutes before Tangmere passed …it must have been an amazingly swift operation, taking into account of the 15 minutes space between trains. I was on Settle Station and wish I was at Helwith Bridge!
Hi Timothy, I was at Helwith Bridge and filmed the reverse onto the spur which I’ve uploaded if you’re interested, from arriving at the quarry it took eight minutes and forty five seconds from receiving the token to reverse onto the spur.
Steve, Great captures with Tangmere never failing to impress. Regards, John
Thanks John, your comments allways appreciated, Steve .
Nice one Steve, lovely day and plenty of exhaust up the cutting which gave you the extra shelter from the wind, cheers 👍

Carlisle is seeing a good selection of steam this year.
The more the better.
Yes indeed without the trips to Carlisle it would be a lot quieter, cheers .
Nice captures Steve , Tangmere didn’t sound right but plenty of clag .

34067 sounded a lot better approaching Settle than at Settle, where it was getting push from the diesel
Someone said it sounded odd, but sounded ok past me Idris, thanks .
I booked on the dalesman last yr. Not this yr while they are using nasty air cons.
Loosing a lot of trade i would say, cheers . 🤔
