  • Locker Nuts episode 514
We've been planning this day for awhile! We're excited as it's finally time to have train experts look at the collection we purchased in this amazing locker. It’s almost embarrassing at how emotional I am right now! Seeing these experts opening up the Marklin boxes and being totally in awe of what they found was like this owners dream was being Christened! Their knowledge not only of the trains, but the man behind this story, just brought everything together! The trains were more organized than what we previously thought! I am so thankful that they reached out to you and wanted to see not only the trains they sell, but this owners dream, was just a miracle in itself! How unbelievable it was that they just ran across your videos by chance! I’m sure they watched every episode of this series before they reached out to you to make sure this was indeed the owners locker! I am so thankful that you guys were blessed to be the ones that bought this locker! Enjoy every moment you go through the remainder of this locker! As Jack said, “We are not promised tomorrow…”! God’s Blessings to you both….❤️

@@LockerNuts Indeed you are! I just can’t tolerate it when someone I respect gets called something that I know is not true! I have been on many wonderful locker excursions with you guys (some not so profitable; some very profitable) and you have gained many viewers respect and love for you, Jenna and the kiddos! I’m too old to just let things that aren’t true go by the wayside! lol 😂 I’ve earned my badges to call out bad actors and actions! I love you Locker Nut Family! ❤️

So this father and son duo are going to take the Marklin and other niche market trains and help you sell them?
I hope that's what I'm understanding from this video bc I can't think of anyone who would be more qualified to sell them for you and it would be so much safer than trying to sell them on ebay!
How wonderful and awesome that they knew the previous owner who collected these trains and had so much information to share with you! Not only about the trains you were unboxing but also the man behind those trains!
You could certainly tell how much respect and reverence they have for these items! When a novice is going through them, they can have a certain level of appreciation for them, but when a true connesuir is looking at them, you can tell that they treat them like pieces of art! I'm so happy they reached out to you and that you allowed them to share their knowledge with you!! 👍👌👍

Yes, they are going to begin selling them on consignment for us. They are true Marklin experts, so we couldn't have hoped for a better team. They already took a few totes of some items, and we're looking forward to seeing how those sell and will have many more for them on the next trip!

@@LockerNuts , that's awesome Jack! Some of the more expensive trains might sit awhile finding just the right buyer ( or maybe not, since some of your trains will be the first to be on the market in years, or ever for that matter!) But it will certainly ease your fears that someone could potentially pull a fast one on ebay! I don't think you could have found more perfect people to consign the trains with IMHO!! 👍👍👍

I'm not surprised the family let this locker go. We did the same thing with one of our loved one's house content. It was too much for us to deal with. We were happy that the person who helped us move it for free was able to make money for all the hard work they put in. We took what was most meaningful to us and gave the rest away. You cant keep everything when someone dies. It's great these guys are helping you put these trains on consignment. Cause it takes a lot of work and time to sell all that. In my case, a whole household of 90 years. Win-win for everyone.

I wish more railroadiana collectors were into models. The models mimic the railroads from the USA, and all over the world, in all eras. We'd have more interest in the models, but such as it is.
It's great to have someone to help you with the items and to hear the stories about the guy who owned it.

One of the large toy stores had a huge Marklen display from the end of Oktoberfest through New Years Eve day. It had just about everything a model railroad could; it was fabulous fun just to watch the children’s amazement as the trains came around, skiers slid down hills and the cows mooed. How neat you were able to meet them and hopefully continue to work with them to learn more and help you sell those harder to sell on Ebay items. I so enjoyed this video. I bet it was fun for them to go thru some totes too.

My dad had a little train set that set on a ping pong table from his childhood. It wasn’t worth much, but it was sure fun to play with. I still have the track for it. It’s been a load of fun watching these videos. Thanks!

I'm not into train stuff but fascinated watching the journey of this locker. Been telling people I know that are train collectors about all of this to see if they might be interested.
