- SherDecor in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, specializes in interior design, using Venetian plaster to create walls that resemble marble. The process involves applying putty with strokes from different angles to give a textured effect. A fine paintbrush is then used to detail the veins on the faux-marble wall. Depending on the area, it can take a few days for the plaster to fully dry. Then the wall is burnished to give it a glossy finish.

This seems similar to scagliona which is similar, but cast I think.
This is nothing like scagliola
Similar concept, yes.
@@jdog52891 no this is nothing at all remotely close to Scagliola.
@@RonaldLayman genuinely curious as to why not? They both utilize plaster mixed with stone dust and colorants and glue water to achieve a marble/stone effect. Then both are sanded and buffed to a sheen. I believe Venitian has the added oil soap coating, and Scagliola is done thicker, but essentially very similar concepts?

faux arists come on guys, wheres the respect for the real artists who work real marble? these guys here are just imitators, craftsmen, not artists
This technique is thousands of years old and has been used to decorate everything from Ancient Roman houses to 17th century baroque churches, why do you treat these skilled men with such contempt?
This will look cheap in real life, I can tell you that they dont really use a really good method and cheap material. There are much better videos and information how you actually do it for real.
