Great rundown Terri! We’ve got reservation at SOG for MAY2022. I will definitely take advantage of all you mentioned. I look forward to your 2022 updates. 🇺🇸👍💪✌️🇺🇸
Thank you 🥰 🤦♀️after I uploaded the video and watched it back for the millionth time I realized I did not put in the clip that I put that as a side note. Thank you for the heads up 😊
Great video for military discount finally! It is hard to get specific info about military discount. You answered all questions that I had. so helpful! Thank you 😊
OMGoodness!! 🥰 thank you. I know when I first started researching Disney I could never find the exact info I was looking for. I try to give the info I would’ve wanted so I’m glad I’m explaining properly. 😊
Oh man 😕. I know when I first started using the ticket discount it was only 4 & 5 day. They seem to go back and forth on what they offer. Thank you for watching 🥰
Do my family need to show their IDs each time they enter a park? I am bringing my nephews and they do not have one. There are days where they will want to ditch us and go do their thing. Once I activate them, do they need me to be there when they go to the parks on their own? Thank you.
No worries once you validate the tickets and each person gets their own hard ticket you can let everyone loose to do their own thing 🤗 thank you for watching! 🥰
I talked with Disney directly to hopefully get you the exact answer you are looking for. It comes down to if your spouse (with the military ID that he has) still receives military benefits and can get on a military base. Generally the Disney discounts are for fully active or retired military members. But if his type of ID still has military benefits then yes there are SOME discounts he could qualify for. If you do not live near a base to go and ask these questions the website for Shades of Green also has all this information explained. I hope this helped. ✨😊✨
I apologize but I am not sure what the DAV stands for. I am going to leave a link below for eligibility for tickets. If you would like to use Shades of Green you will need to visit their site. They breakdown who is eligible for rooms in details. www.shadesofgreen.org/application/files/9916/0562/8102/Salute_2019_rules.pdf
@@CreatingtheMagic hi thanks for the information this is exactly what I needed. DAV stands for Disabled American Veteran. Thanks for your help. I was assuming that if shades of green took 100% DAV They would also sell discounted tickets to us too.
I realized there are military discounts available for the resort were planning on staying at after i booked... if i called would they be able to adjust my reservation and add the discount?
Yes ma’am. (As long as your reservation is within the fine print details. Basically not during a major holiday time) For resort only reservations call 1-407-939-1936. 😊 Try to call right when they open (7 am ET) for less wait. Otherwise expect long waits (like hours). But it’s worth it!
No. Sadly, only 100% disabled veterans can get the Salute tickets. The only tickets you can get are BARELY discounted. It's frustrating because my husband is 90% and also can't use the biggest discounted tickets.
You can check at guest services but I’ve normally gone to the ticket window at the front of the park before you enter. It is for your entire vacation. 😊
Please forgive the late response! If you added the memory maker to a package and are paying on it yes you can have it adjusted to the military discount price. If you fully purchased & paid for it separately unfortunately no there is nothing that can be done. Please let me know if I can help with anything else ✨😊✨
Is each military member allowed to buy 6 tickets as in 6 sets of 4-day tickets? Or can they buy 6 tickets total as in one 6-day park hopper at the most. Also, can a 4-day salute ticket be split between two people? As in, 2 people use the 4-day ticket for 2 days total.
Each eligible military member is able to buy 6 (1 ticket must be theirs to use) multi day tickets in total. So 5 different people can have 4/5/6 day tickets. Unfortunately no tickets cannot be split up. You would need to purchase 2 separate 2-day tickets.
I guess it depends on what discounts you were expecting to have. There are a TON of small details that go into getting the biggest discount. For a short trip of 1 or 2 days the discounts are small but for a longer trip If you compare prices on the 3 main military discounts vs what you would pay at rack rate the discounts significant. Memory Maker is roughly $87 less, room discounts vary between resort & dates, & the promotional 4/5/6-day hopper tickets are over half off depending on your dates.

Loved this video, thanks for the tips. Heads up military spouses with military ID card can also get the tickets/discounts :-)

As of now, WDW is no longer offering the 6 day park hoppers 😕 we were just informed the other day while planning our trip.

what about 40% disabled veteran rating they have a VA card and have a DD214.

So for memory maker... purchase at guest services? For military discount?
Also it is only for one day? Or the whole stay?

@@CreatingtheMagic thank you so much for the quick reply! Been searching for the answer for hours and couldn’t find anything. Awesome video!
You are very welcome 🥰 and thank you
Is there a discount for an annual pass?
No unfortunately not that I can find anywhere 🥴
Basically, there’s no discounts. Just a bunch of people saying discounts for military and making us believe that it is.
