Something a friend pointed out to me, not only did Rusty unknowingly save everyone with the Spanish Fly, he actually got Brock there early. Remember at the start of the episode when they tried syncing their watches?
*Brock’s watch was fast, and he got there before midnight, in time to fight the flies as soon as they transformed.*
Didn’t realize that until U pointed it out
This comment deserves to be at the top.
It's these little details that really make the Venture Bros an amazing show.
Or Molotov was bluffing and those women didn't work for her. If that was the case, Rusty got all those women killed.
@@earlwolfx no they did, they where in early episodes, but then agian just because they where bad people dosen't mean it's not murder
Adult Swim made the biggest mistake of their lives cancelling this. TVB may not have been some uber-popular mainstream moneymaker, but I'll be damned if it wasn't amazingly written and consistent in quality. And those things are what matter when it comes to creating meaningful entertainment.
Go Team Venture.
It’s canceled? Fuck!
I was so fuckin heartbroken when I found out they cancelled a show that was great from the start, and was continuing to get better and better with every episode. It started as a show about failure and then just as it becomes a show about success it just gets canned.
What a cruel fate.
# 1 I agree, this will come back to bite them in the ass.
Your telling me, I still remember watching the Pilot on Adult Swim when it first aired. I was friggin 12, and I can still remember it, that's how amazing this show was, becoming more and more developed and fleshed out. I'm still pissed off, Cartoon Network will RUE the day it canceled its best adult show.
You answered your question......not the moneymaker......I will really miss this show
The moment you realized Rusty pretty much unknowingly prevented somewhat of a slaughter by fly drugging the assassins.
Or maybe molotov was bluffing
You watch old episodes and those women are all identical to the Blackhearts crew she has.
Are you sure? maybe rusty did something good for one time
Naw, in the episode where Brock gets fired, you see that all these women are assassins for Molotov
Wow, I always thought she was just bluffing!
I love how he ditches the bike so he can run faster, cracks me up every time!
So he won't alert the black hearts with the noise of the bike
@@LoneMyth that makes sense
Its something I learned by PUBG... Motors are loud
@@Elroid hmm surprised not electric. 10 million dollars.
Nah bro it's just cause Brock is a superhuman and can run at like 100 mph
This is Patrick Warburton's greatest moment imho. He's great, solid character actor but this is his crowning achievement.
This is probably the only show I hear Patrick Warburton and not say "hey that's Patrick Warburton!" Because honestly I only hear Brock Samson in this show.
Feels like an Arbys night
@@tacodog767truest shit I’ve heard. Brock more or less personifies Patrick’s voice more than any of his characters. Even Joe Swanson, and that’s saying a lot for his longest running character lmao
When they made this finale, they had no guarantee they would get another season. They hadn't been renewed for more yet. So they had to make a season finale that would make a fitting end to the series in case they didn't get picked back up for season 5. I'm glad they were renewed, but this would have been a perfect series finale.
Everything changed, but just enough went back to normal that it felt familiar and friendly.
Makes perfect sense. It feels like a conclusion. I remember watching it the first time and being horrified that the show was over; don't get me wrong, it would have been a picture perfect ending - perhaps even too good as when it eventually does happen who can say that it will wrap things up as well -- but this is about the only show I actually look forward to, going on 14 years now.... When it does finally come to a conclusion is going to feel like losing a close friend.
Adult Swim has a bit of a history of that doesn't it? Dan Harmon isn't sure if Rick and Morty will get another season, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force was apparently going to be cancelled at the end of the second season (that's why they called the season 2 finale The Last One). Heck, 12 Oz. Mouse was apparently supposed to have more episodes made that never were, and Adult Swim apparently denied a million dollar offer to make a final season of Metalocalypse.
Why do they treat their shows like crap?
"Treat every day like your last" - Steve Jobs
So why not every season like it's the last?
i think after season 4 they were renewed for 3 more seasons. 5, 6 and now 7. I really hope they'll be renewed for 3 more!!!
Brock is one of my favorite characters. Not just in animation, but in all of television. In the span of 5 minutes, he suffered heartbreak, betrayal, and loss... being forced to drop the love of his life off a cliff to save those he never thought he could love. He sacrifices so much in this scene, but also finally admits to himself that the Ventures are are his true family and not just "the job". After 5 seasons, you see Brock realize that he's been chasing the wrong dream, but changes his path just in time to save his new found home from certain destruction.
It's a beautiful moment, and this show has a hell of a lot of heart when it wants to.
It's worse there, actually. He didn't get to make the choice, SHE did. He never once got any closure regarding his relationship with her. She always kept control of how things went.
@@LordTyph Sometimes, you're just not strong enough to make the right choice, and people have to do it for you. Anyway, Mol was never good for him. He's much better off with Warrianna. They make a great couple.
I am absolutely pissed him and Warriana got barely revisited after their initial liaison or two...they made such interesting foils! She was as tough and no bullshit taking as he was, she loved it rough as he did, they both had a code of loyalty and principles, brought out each other's vulnerabilities both sexually and egotistically. They were such a cool match! It sucks they did so little.
I love how much Brock loves his little found family and friends. You see the real fear and anguish on his face knowing he might have missed his chance to protect them and his pure relief when he realizes he hasn’t. It’s good visual storytelling and it’s a good arc for his character.
If this had been the end of the series, I would have been fine with that. It's such a perfect sequence that just sums up the whole story of the show.
There were a few of those early on, but this one has the best music for it
Yeah, but the newest season was sooooo good. Especially with Brock being the hot piece of ass for a powerful hero for once
I don't think I could ever be fine with it ending.
Kid A if they ever end a lot of characters will perish probably only leaving one alive if that.
I sometimes headcanon that Mol actually did die, and her appearance later was just hallucinations.
Words cannot express the emotions I felt as Brock started running back with that music playing.
I started tearing up when midnight struck, thanks in part to Brock's panicked face.
Every single character at that prom was someone that had been fleshed out, someone I had gotten invested in as an audience...
*and I thought they were all gonna die.*
But everything is alright. Everyone's having a good time. The relief that slowly comes over Brock's face was satisfying. As the night starts becoming infested with fly mutants, Brock smiles in a familiar way.
Turns out, it was just another night at the Venture compound.
I love this show.
To be honest, I wouldn't have put all my cards on them dying even if Rusty hadn't accidentally turned them all into fly monsters. Between Shore Leave, Hatred, a decent portion of SPHINX, and the Order of the Triad, even the Blackhearts would have had some problems killing everyone there. Rusty, Pete, and Billy would have been useless, but the rest are at least competent in a fight.
this 100% word for word this. It's still my favorite season finale of all time. the whole last 3 minutes really just capture everything great about the whow. well said my friend.
I mean, fuck Al, blackula Hunter, and the monarch, but yeah
Jack Everyone was having a good time. And then Brock was having a GREAT time!
The best show
I don’t care if there’s no context for it in this isolated clip. Cutting General Treister floating through space with a salute and “FIX IT!” pinned to his chest at the end is inexcusable. One of the best visual moments from the entire show. 😭
I love how he actually becomes a hulk later in the show
Venture bro’s is easily one of the greatest shows of all time. I can’t believe it’s cancelled...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Venture bros is the best adult swim shows Rick and morty ain’t got characters like venture bros.
Tacodog 76 agreed. I don't see why R&M is so popular.
M. Gökmen To it’s credit, R&M has good consistency of details; they craft some cool Easter eggs into their stories, and the concept of using dimensional travel vs time travel allows them to refine the arc of the show.
On the other hand, I personally can’t stand Rick. He’s a parasitic, sociopathic piece of shit without redeeming qualities. Everyone in the Venture world has genuine vulnerability that makes them relatable. Rick is just an asswipe that pollutes the lives of others and everyone suffers around him. How can anyone like that guy. Also, it annoys me how lazy the writing can be at times. Inter dimensional cable was a boring, uninspired episode.
Rick and Morty was pretty good but all of the clips I've seen of venture bros were pure genius, jesus dude
True that
I like Venture Brothers more because the characters continue to grow. And they weave in an intricate series of references throughout the show. Both to pop culture and to past episodes. They develop a cohesive mythos for the show. Meanwhile. Rick and Morty opened their last season by basically shitting all over the idea of Rick's backstory. Rather than having a cohesive story, they use the multi verse angle as a get out of jail free card. Rather than having to stick to a story. Which is fine, the show is really funny, and each episode can stand on it's own. But if I had to choose between them, I'd take Venture Brothers.
3:25 I just love Brock's smile. He has his purpose and all is right with the world.
the face brock makes when he thinks everyone he knows and loves is about to die is telling of who he is and how good of a person he is under the facade
Samson's smile at the end!
Wolfogre that just says that violence is the only thing that helps him cope with the crazy world around him. He lives for it.

@@PodreyJenkin138 From my understanding of interviews and videos on the topic, it seems that was the conclusion. The reason it feels open ended is because they wanted to show that after everything the characters will go back to doing their usual things, and adventure even when we are no longer watching it. Rather than a closing type of narrative, they left it open for the viewer to interpret. Similar to what some games and books do. Weather or not people like, anyone's guess.

They were her entourage, she wasn't bluffing
Personally, I believe that molotov really loved Brock, and all that in the end was one more pull at his heart strings, and as she fell to her death, she called in the stand down order, because she truly did care for Brock, and was happy he found his true home.
The person who posted this is an ABSOLUTE G for including the name of the song.
Such a goddamn good show and a sin that more people haven't watched it. Let's see Rick and Morty do _anything_ even a shred as meaningful as this scene.
Facts.
The scene where Rick tried to kill himself comes to mind. Or the scene where he sacrifices himself to save morty. Or the scene where morty gets a girlfriend and suffers through trauma with her just to lose it all by time getting reset. Or him slowly realizing him and his other girlfriend Planetina aren’t compatible so he has to dump her. Or Rick mourning the death of a friend he made and then pushed away the whole time they knew each other. Or Rick trying to get bird person to leave with him. Or how morty handles them replacing themselves in a new reality.
Like I like Venture bros a lot more than Rick and morty but acting like Rick and morty has no artistic value is just childish contrarianism, blindly hating on something just because it’s popular.
@@glossyplane542 Everything Rick ever does to create a sense of pathos gets invalidated. That sacrifice for example just ends up being part of a scheme, and that scheme ended up shitting into existence yet another intolerable meme for the fandom to latch onto and repeat ad-nauseum like the autistic parrots they are.
I mean Rick and morty did have some great moments. Like north breaking up with planetina and Rick sacrificing himself to save his family from living a life as outlaws it alwayd ends up tossing away the emotional impact for a shit joke or a "nuh uh it was just a way to fuck someone else over"
Venture bros has jokes but keeps those emotional moments and actually let's characters grow from them in both good and bad ways. That's why it is the better show
Justin Roiland could never. Dan Harmon could, but Roiland would NEVER let that happen
I honestly didn't know if most of the main cast would have survived this episode. That is how incredible the show is, or was. I'll miss it so much.

"This has death by Samson written all over it!"
You know. I've watched this season finale a lot. Every single time I do it makes me emotional, and after the year I've had this year it's hitting way harder. I've thought a lot about what it is that takes the wind right out of me. I think it has to do with the theme of failure, but even amongst the multitudes of failure we see in this finale it doesn't feel like failure. But why is it always General Treister that always gets me? Like, it was always funny, but for some reason later viewings of this it is always the cap of the emotion to this. I think I've figured out why.
The answer is hope. That's what the show left us with after this season. Hope. That no matter how bad you fuck up, no matter how many times you fail, there's always tomorrow. And tomorrow, todays failure will have been just another day. This year has been a failure for me. A freaking catastrophe. But tomorrow, it'll be another day. And by then, today will have been just another day.
Thanks Venture Brothers. Thanks for everything.

For years I didn't watch this show. I had no cable or Hulu and just dealt with no venture Bros. That finale felt so perfect as a show ender, I really didn't need more.
I was mixed on Venture Brothers by this season, the first half of the season I watched a bit and wasn’t so sure of it. Then awhile later I bought bother halves on dvd, because I remember they didn’t just sell it as complete and by the ending I had fallen back in love with this show.
And I absolutely love this ending of the season, incredibly emotional and then humorous at the very last moment. You feel Brock’s panic and thrr we possibility some characters may die ( music was perfect choice too) all in all very powerful writing.
I really hope the upcoming movie gives this show a proper ending because it burns me to know we won’t get any more seasons. This is a show I could wait a year or two between seasons because the writing was worth the wait.
To be honest I remember this song from the scene more than from great expectations. And also looking back on it I'm realizing that molotovs precise calculations would not have permitted anything but assassination. It was a play and a Gambit that she won and made Brock realize his love for the Venture Brothers is greater than her.
3:25
Brock's grim smile is legit similar of Doomguy's smile
Wouldn’t mind seeing Brock under doomguy’s armour
I just wanna say to all my fellow soldiers that have been friend zoned keep your head up cuz it could be worse. You'll never experience true despair like what brock experienced with his relationship with Molotov. My man wanted to smash her since season 1 but couldn't outta respect for her virginity and despite being rivals and always trying to "kill" each other they still have a huge amount of respect and feeling for each other. All of that only for Molotov to lose it to the some random guy leaving Brock high and dry. Years and years of waiting for the perfect moment to hit it gone and even though he pissed he still respects it. Brock is the ultimate "nice guy". So please keep your head up and keep fighting cuz sooner or later he/she will come around and realize you're their brock samson.

Rusty Venture, making cronenbergs before it was cool.
The best thing about this finale, regardless of the seasons and time that has passed, it was wonderful closure to Brock and Mol's relationship. With Mol plummeting to her death for selfish reasons, and Brock racing to action to save his family.

This was the PERFECT ending to a PERFECT season of Venture Bros. Every character got to step out of role for a few and just be guests at a weird Prom. Until they frantically stepped back INTO role at midnight. And Brock’s interaction with Molotov C was PRICELESS.
this scene hurts so much more now.. no story line wrap ups, and so many unanswered questions :(
WE'RE GETTING A MOVIE BABY
YEAH BABEY!!
The Venture Bros. always use music appropriately.
I love the look on Brock’s face when he realized his friends were not only alive but having the time of their lives. Then the same look on his face when he realized he was going to get to kill the mutated assassins.
With the news that The Venture Bros is being cancelled, this is probably the perfect ending for the show. That's not to say that I don't like the subsequent seasons, but I still think that this was the best season finale that the show had to offer, with the most closure.

Brock ran half a mile in less than a minute.
it might be doable on account that it was downhill
checkbord spy maybe because of adrenaline
@@Somespideronline no no it's because of brock
Probably the best finale in the entire show. I'll genuinely miss this show, it was one of the last holdouts from the golden era of Adult Swim and a mainstay of my adult life. "So long, Partner."

@@freetoplayking7362 Usually I tell people that tell me to "google it" to go to hell but this is definitely an exception! Whoo! I'll take the 'Firefly-Serenity' route over a deadend season 7. And there's gonna be a Metalocalypse movie too!
@@brndnwilks no probs
Love the show. Love more how it ages like fine wine. A real gem to have in my life. Superb stuff
This IMO could/should have been the finale. They'll never top this. These are the kind of finales I love. It's not so much a happy ending, but one telling the audience that they'll be okay and this cast of characters will go one with their wacky adventures.
I've only just watched this episode a few nights ago, and my god did that ending make me feel such suspense then tears of relief that turned to happiness
