This sort of thing happens all the time. Dominant males have multiple prides and sometimes those prides kill their competition. Or when the Kambula girls tried to kill the Tsalala lioness in Londolozi, except the Birmingham Boys stopped it from happening

It looks to me, like he's eating the cub; the dead female is above his head in the film; and more like what happens in a takeover. When Orpen males came in, the eldest lioness had 1 cub, And I only see one cub (the one male is eating on) In Jan 2020 there were 3 females in pride (including the older female). By May, there were only 2 lionesses denning cubs, and no mention after this about the 3rd lioness. I don't doubt the footage, I doubt the timing.
@@yvonnem.langlois5197 ok thank you so much guess it truly is a Savage kingdom of the Lion. Still sometimes nature is so so sad. Weird because still yet their lives fascinate me. Thanks again for the information.
She was probably killed by the Mbiri Pride. Females are just as territorial as males. Junior was probably caught up in the mix and ate the remains for whatever reason. That was somewhat unusual, but it happens occasionally Check Londolozi's page. There was a huge fight between the Ntsevu/Kambula Pride and the Tsalala lioness. If one of the males hadn't helped defend her, it could have ended like what happened to the Koppies female
I think perhaps sometimes they eat them to keep hyenas/ birds from getting them. Lionesses eat their cubs too, even if they kill them. Weird thinking, but in a strange way maybe its better to them.
We believe it’s was the females from another pride that started the killing and the male joined in at the end, the female was proberly trying to protect her cubs the pride
Dark maine need someone to help him what i love about him is 95 percent of the time he with his pride too bad he not like notch raise his sons and have a coalition
Would a male try to take over a pride this size? If so would he try to kill those males? At what age would a male kill a cub of je took it ocer. I know they would kill the babies but what about the larger cubs that are close to becoming adults?
The lioness they killed---i can understand killing the cubs---but wouldn't the dominant males rather breed with the outside female and have her join the pride, instead of killing her?? Or is it the lionesses that don't want her, don't want a newcomer, and they do the killing??

@@styx5131 so Junior killed a lioness of his pride! Why?? Why didn't Buddy stop it? Really a big thank you and sorry for my bad english

@@mathieulamirault8262 I don't think it was Junior, it's definitely possible, but I think it was more than likely the Mbiri females that killed her, and Junior was just eating her.
@@styx5131 thank you very mutch
This is extremely sad! Those lioness next to him should definitely leave him! 🤦🏾♀️💔
Hi
Doesn’t look like these lions were so hungry for those Buffalos.. they just happened to fall onto their plate by luck
Wow that was disturbingly shocking I don't believe that that adult male was eating that lioness I didn't think thaey did that...wow. Could it be cuz they were really hungry or they do actually do that sometimes, shocking but thanks for the info and footage.
Junior killed and ate two of his own cubs?
She was probably killed by the Mbiri Pride. Females are just as territorial as males. Junior was probably caught up in the mix and ate the remains for whatever reason. That was somewhat unusual, but it happens occasionally
Check Londolozi's page.
Dark mane Avoca male is now a lonely male. He is separated from his two brothers mohawk and blondie for a year already. No more contact between them.
What happened I don't have sound
1:42 holy wow that is a lot of flies swarming around his ear.
Hiiiii
Rip jr nkuhuma orpen male.
EnjoyEnjo youryou break.
Wtf? I'm thinking I'm going to see footage of lions but instead just pictures and yapping.

why would a male lion kill a lioness? I don't understand
We believe it’s was the females from another pride that started the killing and the male joined in at the end, the female was proberly trying to protect her cubs the pride
@@tintswalovirtualsafari Thanks for yhe reply
Why sensitive for a Lion eating another while they other animals including other animals cubs
Dark maine need someone to help him what i love about him is 95 percent of the time he with his pride too bad he not like notch raise his sons and have a coalition
I do apologize but I did have another question, if females kill another female and/or cubs in a takeover will they eat them like the lion did?
He broke his foot and now it giving him problems wasn't then but now it is he need a vet
Can u move that lion and her 5 cubs to a safer territory. Sometimes u need to intervene
So sad
I do love these videos but I dislike the violence its sad to see any of them die... Thats natural I know.
Would a male try to take over a pride this size? If so would he try to kill those males? At what age would a male kill a cub of je took it ocer. I know they would kill the babies but what about the larger cubs that are close to becoming adults?
I don't find it interesting ... Very sad to see a large male eat his own kind 😪 heartbreaking we as humans should change the whole dynamic.
The lioness they killed---i can understand killing the cubs---but wouldn't the dominant males rather breed with the outside female and have her join the pride, instead of killing her?? Or is it the lionesses that don't want her, don't want a newcomer, and they do the killing??
They are running out of habitat. Thus they are resorting to cannibalism. So sad.
If they killed her I'm not sorry for their injuries.
Do you know who killed the lioness?
most speculate it was the 6 Mbiri females
@@KO-ei9db thanks for the reply. Damn the Mbiri females dont mess around with other females in their territory. I remember when they almost killed the last southern lioness that has the 1 cub.
@@chriss1436 i dont thin those were the Mbiris i think it may have been the Mhangeni lionesses
where a lion eats another lion? nothing is in this vido clip
