The fact is neither side can win with the evolution of drones, precision guided munitions, and WW1 style trench networks and minefields. Russia is gaining nothing economically, has depleted 50% of effective military equipment, and it's people watch Telegram and see thousands of Russian IFVs and tanks go up in flames.
The tone has changed as the war has changed, Russia was really struggling to have any impact for a long time, poor battlefield tactics repeated again and again, a lack of equipment, poor motivation from conscripted men etc.. However in time Russia has managed to fix some of these issues. Realistically a country with the resources and the political structure of Russia should have been able to take Ukraine quickly, and that has not happened. They are changing the narrative because they will stop supporting Ukraine. Russia has already won the war when they initiated a mobilization. And another point about sanctions and that not all companies have left Russia, the 2nd biggest number of international companies that have stayed and are still operating in Russia are *American*. Only 18% of all American companies in Russia have left. So its abit strange to state that friends of Russia in EU, such as Hungary and Austria, are not making sure that sanctions are followed. Most of western countries are not following sanctions against Russia. But by the looks of it sanctions have benefited Russia much more than those who implemented them. The funniest thing that Russian gas pipe going through Ukraine is still pumping gas to Europe. And Ukraine still gets paid for transition.

What would have been so wrong if, at the beginning of the war, Ukraine had negotiated with Russia not to join NATO? 🤔 Are we OK now that hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian men have now died for Uncle Sam?
I know you're a russian troll but lets address that nonetheless. They did talk about that. But Russia lieerally broke every single treaty and promise it made and attacked regardless. Western people dont understand Russia. Its a country where promises and treaties mean literally nothing. No rules whatsoever. They will lie in your face and break any treaties whenever it benefits them. They will make treaties to benefit them and then break them when they deem it more benefical. Russia only understands military force. The best thing we can do for Russia is to help Ukraine liberate Crimea.

As there has not been one word mentioned by the Ukrainian military or in the Ukrainian media concerning age I wonder where this number has been plucked from and how accurate it is.
Not only has Ukraine lost soldiers, but it will also lose people from the annexed territories. Russia has lost soldiers, but the people on annexed land will more than make up for it, plus resources on that land.
Russia does not need the resources, only the West needs them. This is why the West interests in Ukraine intensified. aggressively. The real objective push NATO away from the order to destroy the Ukrainian army so it would not be a threat to the future of Russia's national security and free the people of the eastern regions that voted to stay with Russia. The discussion is like "The Taliban could win against the US". Now, we know that the Taliban won against the US. It's pretty obvious that unless the US entered this war directly, Ukraine does not have any chance. The outcome of a war is decided not so much about the overwhelming military power but the will of one side to fight for as long as it takes to win. The Soviet pulled out of Afghanistan because it cost them too much and there was no strategic value for them to stay. The Taliban won against the US because they were willing to fight for as long as it took. Russia considered winning the war in Ukraine as its existential battle against the West and the US. Russia is prepared to fight for as long as it takes while the US and the West have no real existential interests in Ukraine. The US and the West won't be willing to lose 100000 men fighting to Ukraine and also risk a nuclear showdown. So, it's on the wall who will win. US and Western calculus fails so badly. Russian economy continue to grow. Russia is becoming more independent of the US and Western economy every month going by. The West is more desperate about losing the supply of raw materials and energy from Russia. The Global South looks compeletely neutral and even keener to trade with Russia. China and India are trading with Russia more than ever and the West and the US are too afraid to say anything. Why aren't the West and the US sanctioning India and China? Reality will set in. New governments will take over the West and the US. And soon they will pretend nothing ever happened as Ukraine is wiped off the map.

Ukraine is screwed either way.. Economically in debt to those who sent hardware to them and Policitically..
Considering that California alone has a substantially larger economy than the entire Russian Federation I think you would be wise to question how long Russia will be able to stay in the game if the West maintains any semblance of support for Ukraine. How did Russia's supposed ability to play the long game during the Cold War fare?
@@keithmorgan3295 Would be interesting to see if they have learnt anything from the Cold War, history indicates they have resiliance when things arent going well in the country. It's also challenging because Russia has no honor and Putin is a pathological liar--he said that Russia wouldn't occupy any territory and they wouldn't use force to make people do stuff. @@keithmorgan3295 California's economy is service-based. The Russian economy is based on the material world AND services. Therefore, it is not correct to compare them in absolute numbers. You can compare steel production, for example. Russia's steel production exceeds steel production in the United States, and so on. That is, they can produce material tanks from steel, and California can produce, for example, games about material tanks or services that will post videos of material tanks fighting, but not the tanks themselves. At the same time, the GDP in California will be higher, but tanks will not be built - there are no production chains The USA is a post-industrial country, 80 percent of GDP is services, like insurance, and so on.

Let's be real: Recently, retired General David Petraeus, the former architect of the Iraq war said that before American troops would go on a counteroffensive if American troops were in the place of the Ukrainian troops against Russia, that first B1 Bombers would carpet bomb the trenches and minefields. G9 Bulldozers would finish the job. Warthog ground-support fighters with 50 caliber cannons would make hamburger out of retreating Russian forces and take out troop carriers and tanks and artillery guns. Apache attack helicopters would take out hidden artillery batteries and cover advancing forces, F-16s would be crisscrossing the Russian lines dropping bombs on tanks and firing at fleeing soldiers and keeping Russian jets at bay. The Ukraine does not have bombers, G9 bulldozers, Warthog ground-support fighters, Apache attack helicopters or F16s covering the troops and having air superiority. Does anyone see what I am saying here? Ukraine has gone into a counteroffensive with one hand tied behind its back against the 2nd Superpower on the planet. Asking ourselves questions like "how is it possible that the Ukrainians have made such little progress?" is absurd. We have to give them the weapons they need to win the war. Period.

In 1994, the Budapest Agreement was signed, according to which Ukraine, at the suggestion of the West, renouned nuclear weapons and heavy bombers. And the West, represented by the United States and Great Britain, acted as the guarantor of its territorial integrity, promised support in the event of an attack on Ukraine. Refusal of nuclear weapons effectively left Ukraine vulnerable against Russian aggression. In 2014, Russia annexed the Ukrainian Crimea and part of Donbass, and in 2022 it is attacking Ukraine, bombing its cities and villages, killing Ukrainians. And now the West does not want to give Ukraine enough necessary weapons, although basically these weapons are not new, they are being replaced with more modern ones.

Most of western countries are not following sanctions against Russia. But by the looks of it sanctions have benefited Russia much more than those who implemented them.

Geographically not much effort is required to move military assets compared to the US as its literally their backyard..and considering they manufacture their own arms means they are only dependent on raw materials which I wouldn't be surprised if it is being supplied by China.
It's also challenging because Russia has no honor and Putin is a pathological liar--he said that Russia wouldn't occupy any territory and they wouldn't use force to make people do stuff. But every second that Russia stays in Uktaine they are shooting themselves in the foot. Its amassive drain on Russian economy, and Rusdia already had a man shortage before the war. All this because Putin wants to stay in power for ever.

At the same time, the GDP in California will be higher, but tanks will not be built - there are no production chains

Russia broke the Minsk agreement just like the broke the 1991 treaty.
Because everyone knew Russia wouldn't honor it.
You are still after so many days of this special operation, avoiding the fact that since 2014, the Ukrainian army itself has been killing the ethnic Russian Ukrainians in Donbas and eastern Europe. So, yes, Russia has been failing to regain control of Ukraine since its puppet, Yanukovich, was ousted in 2014. Never mind: at least Lukashenko dons the kneepads.

Theres no way Ukraine can win this war😢😢😢😢😢😢
Zelensky is a war criminal....
Ukraine is still in hallucination and not looking at hard reality but Zelensky is pushing Ukranians into misery.
Economy isDown by 30%.
It’s not Zelensky. Anyone who’s been to Ukraine will tell you, he’s only echoing Ukrainian citizens, who view Russia similar to how Palestinians view Israel, except instead of 70 years of history and reasons why, Ukrainians have hundreds.
Ukrainian people voted for Zelinskiy on the promise ofPeace.
Now maIes areHiding from Zelinskiy's GreenMen grabbingPeople inSteets.

Слава России!🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Beautiful to watch like Ukraine nacionalist with bandera ideology, US sponzors, EU papets losing. Putin sad woth Russia want peaceful, non nato, democratic contry who respect human including Russian right.
So now Ukraine is not winning 😂😂😂 ? .
You have been telling us so far that FUCKRAINE was winning what happened ? .
Truth hurts .
No one ever said that you just though ruSSia was winning and so everyone who told you reality (that ruSSia is not winning) you though was saying that Ukraine was winning.
Ukraine already lost this conflict late last year when Eastern Ukraine was annexed into The Russian Federation. Nothing will change this painful fact for Ukraine..
Russia’s inevitable defeat will ensure that Ukraine will reinstate its borders.
That's hopefully the most ludicrous, illogical BS I am going to hear all day today. BTW, I just signed a decree making Russia my personal property. *Respect my authority!*

They will have like less than 1 million young men after this war. Even if they miraculously win, their demographic situation is a sad state. They were a nation of 50 million people in 1991, by 2050 doubt they’ll be more than 10/15 million, with most being women and elderly, and few men and especially few kids.
Glory to Ukraine?

NATO terrorist Organization was defeated in Ukraine 😂
How can they be defeated in a country they are not in?
At the beginning of the war clear Ukrainian can’t win but they always said no Ukrainian wining . Wink wink …
Ukraine is not "Failing against Russia." Russia is "Failing against Ukraine."
Dont go against russia.. in winter. You should learn from history.
😂😂😂😂 Ukraine was always doomed y’all are so passionately delusional it’s so funny
Whatever happened to Russia is weak and running out of weapons.
@@newmoon1448 Nato has difficulty with pronouns
Isn’t Russia getting weapons from Iran, North Korea, and drones from China? Or are these all Russian made?
Notice how ruSSias rocket strikes have gone from multiple times a week to multiple times a year. Yah that is what people meant by “running low” on missiles.
First they asked if Ukraine can win now they ask if it can survive 😂 Pure Ukraine, look where western guidance brought you.
The problems in Ukraine is caused by the Putin regime. Any Ukrainian caring for the life quality of their children will fight to be independent of the Russian regime and strive to get closer to EU. That is actually what the vast majority have done the last ten years.

TLDR: Yes, the counteroffensive failed. No, the war is not over.
DW's relentless anti-Ukraine bent in its headlines is quite breathtaking.
It´s called reality, try it out.
Ukraine never could. USA has been holding Ukraine up by the hair the whole time.

Ukraine lost the war a long time ago....The question is- Can NATO put boots on the ground in Ukraine and risk ww3 with nukes?
Ukraine is not a vital intrest for any western country
It is not Ukraine failing against Russia. Now it is the West including Germany failing against Russia. Why the West could not provide Ukraine military gear for the counteroffensive......
Why couldn't? The West supplied Ukraine with more assets than the USSR received during the entire Second World War under Lend-Lease from the USA + UK. Taking into account all inflation of course.
The question is where did this crazy money disappear, and not why the West “failed”
No NATO expention would have prevented this war. Wealthy continue to profit while regular people suffer. 😢 Money for war is not the answer. This should be discussed.
Nato expansion is the cause of the war.
its interesting ,when people say ,putin wants the whole of ukraine..is that what he really wants?i thought russia has the largest land mass.,i think its high time western power have a direct engagement with putin to hear his side rather than speculate..we dont need war in the world.
👍
Look at the original SMO objectives, they remain the same
Russia does not want to conquer Ukraine or any other European turf - that narrative is fear mongering.
Basically Russia demands no NATO in Ukraine, neutrality.
Russia demands their security concerns be respected.
Russia will not lose this USA/NATO provoked proxy war.

Most of the Western analysts have zero understanding of the Russian Federation. Still they love to mislead politicians, journalists and the public.
War is what you will get if Putin is not stopped , and giving him Ukraine will not stop him .
He’s said that’s what he wants. Haven’t heard anything different from him.
Ukraine does not have manpower required
Ukranian Women and Children are out, men have lost the will, now they want to leave desperately

Need to bring more african and asian experts to explain why the world is still dealing with Russia.
Ukraine cannot win against Russia. That is the fact. Unfortunately they put too much hope in the West and they will pay dearly for it.
