What i love about this scene is it depicts two master's of their own native martial arts. It doesn't display one as better than the other but who is the better skilled at their craft. They both are almost equal at it in their own way. Both fight scenes are incredible.
@greenemonster. Yeah Ah Sahm probably thought he was just another “Gwei lo” who’s butt he can kick but when Leary caught Ah Sam’s leg when he tried to kick and took that shot to the dome, you can tell he was thinking, “Shit! this dude is no light weight.”
and also we can see the "mutual respect" between them, i loved when leary had the gut to go to chinatown to speak to ah sahm in s3 besides that the last time they fought he said that if he goes to chinatown HE WILL KILL LEARY
They were to different things warrior is more grounded an badlands is a wuxia meansartial hero an most kf the stories the characters are super human like in badlands. inpirsed by journey to the west
I hope they don't recast Finn Jones because he can still do it better than what we got. But even if they do recast him, I want to see Andrew Koji as the new Immortal Iron Fist
@@qkd.birtoutaFigured it was S2, just trying to remember the episode number so I can watch the bit where Leary walks into the building like an absolute badass.
U know that back in the day, Ski masks wasn't a thing. So like if u wanna to criminal activity like robbing a train or rob/terrorize an industrial company, u just put on a cloth mask
It’s fascinating how people these days only associate masks with Covid instead of how they’ve been used for many years. Chinese people as well as Japanese have been using masks for illness for a very long time before Covid was a thing
If this show is trying to portray Irish racists in the late 19th century as bad, it probably shouldn't show Leary punching through the equivalent of a broomstick to knock a martial arts virtuoso on his ass. He comes across as the coolest guy ever 😎
The show isn't trying to portray anyone as anything. Whoever watched this show using their basic cognitive capacity saw that the story isn't black and white. The Irish racists aren't portrayed as "bad", they're just trying to survive, even if their premises about the Chinese are wrong. They saw suffering, famine, and war, and still struggle with making ends meet. However, the show does demonstrate that the racism by the Irish is misdirected and wrong.

Jesus, the look in Leary's eyes....that's some fine acting.
Just saw season 2... ending
The fight between these two giants is legendary
Bruce Lee would be damn proud of this show
Fuckin right 🔥🤌🏾
I can't enough of leavy vs ah sahm scenes❤
Bruce Lee fans will recognize his famous backflip kick from the movie, "Enter The Dragon".
Watching this before Season 3 starts! Will be badass
This is what Into The Badland's should have been. Like legit every weakness Badlands had this show fixed.
1:13 why is this guy more of an iron fist than Finn Jones?
They were to different things warrior is more grounded an badlands is a wuxia meansartial hero an most kf the stories the characters are super human like in badlands. inpirsed by journey to the west
I Saw badland I was super bad, I didnt like It.
At least not in fighting. Badlands is still the superior show in the West when it comes to choreographed martial arts.
From one masterpiece to another, please don't hate on either show.
Leary has had mad respect for Ah Sahm ever since the very first time he saw him fight, even if he hates the Chinese.
This is what Finn Jones iron fist should’ve been.
yes he did not honor the skills of the iron fist should have done the same Charlie cox who is definitely the DD
Oh agreed 100%
That could change with Disney plus who owns the rights to it now
Agreed
I hope they don't recast Finn Jones because he can still do it better than what we got. But even if they do recast him, I want to see Andrew Koji as the new Immortal Iron Fist
This finale was so fire, loving this show bro.
Is this the first time Ah Sahm spoke to Leary? Leary looked a bit suprised before he took off.
He'd never fathomed, let alone heard, a Chinese person speaking English before then.
@@WiiMan25yes, the next time they was at Penny's factory where they first spoken to each other in English
A great first teasing fight between the 2! I also love the music! Wish I could find more soundtracks haha
Andrew Koji is so handsome 😍
I love that despite his hate to Chinese, Leary still gives Ah Sahm short time with his "hey" to warn him and not to have cheap shot....
Ah san was faster and he was more skilled them Leary, but Leary was stronger and more durable.
the fight of speed and slickness vs. strength and endurance, a classic my friend : D
In season 3 they've shown Ah Sahm to be even stronger and use more physical strength
@@ulysses4989
Nice, I have to see It.
not to mention Asam's burn at the end: "I hope so" - said in an American accent, it completely shattered Leary's perspective of the Coolie
Best fight scene ever forever 😂
I think we’ll see them eventually start a friendship out of respect for each others savagery.
Suck it Kung Fu on CW. Both, Ah Sahm, Li Young and Leary. Would take those corny characters to school.
LMAO please don’t bring CW everything on that network sucks

Pathetic. Leave your mom alone. 🤣
I've played the opening theme of this show ;)
This is how their showdown fight should of went with both of them actually showing skill and not leary swing like a gorilla
Which episode was this?
s2

Season 1 finale
This good practice keeps physical shape for Japanese person vs horrible racist individual.
There was COVID back then?
There have been 100's of pandemics in history
No just trying to hide there faces

Go the Irish
2:38 that punch should’ve hurt Leary he must have some John wick durability 😂😂😂
The racists??
