Have to love the sound of a LT-1. I am now the owner of my fathers original owner 1970 LT-1 that has never been apart. Has received the NCRS 5 star Bow-Tie award, Bloomington Survivor and such. Will have it flight judged once we find the original keys. I have the protect-o-plate, original window sicker (never been on the car) and such.
Absolutely gorgeous 🇺🇸👍, read what Corvette forum voted as the best looking Corvette ever out of the top ten, I think it would put a smile on your face. They've been in business everything Corvette for 20 plus years.
I get alot of " unauthorized" people filming my 72!! I when I catch a girl filming vette I joke with them saying " its gonna cost you a buck" for pics!!!🤣🤣🤣 anyhow thats one great sounding LT-1!! My first used car was also a 70 LT-1 with factory M-22 and 4.56! but later stolen on me!!!!!
And revving it up like that in reverse too, man one slip of the clutch and it's totalled. Ramp was tilting down, looks like could have just rolled back with engine off.
I saw him shift at 1500 and 2k. Not good for solid lift cams. Why do so many vette guys insist on lugging them? Aint saving nothing just brings the thrust bearing to an early grave
In the seventy's that car whit 411 gears was one of the fasts red light to red light car on the street

A/C was not a factory option in 70,on this high revving beauty
Intro.....very well said!

I built one LT one motor 1970 same grind camshaft so left 11 1/2 to 1 compression steel crank
Colour me jealous!
M22 with 4.10 gears, sweet package.
M21 and gears were 3.70, 3.55 or 4.11.
@@thud9797 in a 70 camaro i put a M 21 Wide Ratio trans with 373 rear posi and around 350 horse and it went like 150 mph lol
Super Super Clean !!
No A/C bummer, I'm sure you know how hot it gets in there...I had a 71 LT-1 it was an oven ....
Was only available on an LT-1 in '72, and they didn't make many (only 240). Oven is about right haha. My '72 is about unbearable in the summer.
How did we even survive back then with no a/c? I need, I need! 😀
Wonder why they, transport people, don't put stop blocks on the lift... Sh it happens. why take a chance.
And revving it up like that in reverse too, man one slip of the clutch and it's totalled. Ramp was tilting down, looks like could have just rolled back with engine off.
love love love
know you just got it but lugging it in 2nd at 14 mph?
Why video the instrument cluster ??
To show the 6500 RPM redline tach! Lesser 350s over the years are 5600 or 5300 or 5000 RPM. This was the last real monster small block!
@@stingraykenx couldnt tell he was babying and short shifting it .
And the oil pressure gauge should read higher than the base engine so it's cool.
The clock doesn't work.
96.478% of all other Corvette clocks don't either. 😀
They are really not that hard to fix.
you could have kept taking video; you are on public property.
Keep lugging that LT-1 engine by shifting at 2500rpm instead of 3500 and blow the main bearings !!!
I think it will be alright Joe, the automatic LT-1 in the Z/28 short shifts like that too.
