After brutally raping and murdering a beautiful young mother, this horrible killer had four decades of freedom to live his life and grow old. The legal system fails a lot, but this young investigator's commitment to this case was the greatest gift to the family and ex-husband of Sonia Herok-Stone.
Trouble is cops drop ball defining killer,
It's crazy how back in the day cops had to do so much more "boots on the ground" type work and this new detective just sends a Q-tip to a lab and gets it solved. Lol
😊
The police mugshot was lost. The vial containing his blood broke. This was a ridiculous and incredible comedy of errors save for the persistence of the deceased's daughter
Two DNA samples and he said he was there. He pretends he's not guilty. Why should there be apprehension about the outcome? If evidence of that magnitude can't close a case, we're all in peril.
And his lawyer, "too much time has passed." Shame on him. And he should know that there is no statute of limitations on murder in Canada nor in California. Shame on is ineptitude.
That wasn't ineptitude. That was an evil man throwing anything at the wall to try to get his even more evil client off scott free.
A lawyer has the duty to protect their client regardless of how ppl feel. Esp if they’re the lawyers that are assigned to them. They too can be targeted by the bar and if they don’t do everything to try to defend, the person can claim that they had insufficient counsel and have their conviction overturned and possibly get off at a new trial.
That doesnt make them evil.
Also, if u were to tell me that a cop went after the ex and then saw a burly guy across the street and that’s the only 2 ppl he looked into, then there was a cross contamination of DNA and photos of blood spilled on the evidence- but then magically some random lab had viles bc they called every lab- there’s serious doubt. Just bc ppl “feel” someone did it, doesn’t mean they did. Also, I’ve cut myself in the garage on plexiglass and there’s been no blood on the glass or garage. It’s a quick slice. This is how so many innocent ppl get convicted.
that police dept is a Circus...full of clowns. ! I'd be suing the City and the PD for gross incompetence, neglience, and ineptitude.
yep
No statue limitations for murder
2 cops told her at 4 years old that her mother had been murdered ?
how messed up is that? why wouldnt a family member tell her?
Sasha is gorgeous. Good for her advocating for her mother.
Actually, she WAS forgotten. The DNA tech was there 15 or 20 years after her murder, and maybe the evidence wasn't lost or destroyed at that time.
It's a wonderful thing that Sonia's brother finally apologised to the ex husband for the accusation. Beautiful healing
A liar and a coward took a beautiful life and almost got away with it because of some silly, stupid laws. A terrible part of this documentary is when Sonia`s former husband was wrongly accused. What that poor man must have gone through all those years is beyond belief. I feel sorry for him. RIP Sonia. Didn´t think much of the brother but I do like Sasha. Hope she finds peace and comfort now that the beast responsible is behind bars for good.
I'm so glad Sonia and her family finally have justice and that monster is behind bars for the rest of his sad cold life.
he didnt get life in prison, he got life - something taken away from Sonia. So glad there was finally justice.
These detectives are beyond amazing ~ 👏👏
This must be one of the most sloppy pieces of police work on record
Wasn't Clint Eastwood mayor there for a long long time?
Hmmmm... 🤔
The blood was spilled. The sperm was lost. Come on.
You don't live a full life living in your parents home.
One must not be incompetent if commissioned to store/secure evidence
Michael what did you do
I call BS
0:46 she looks like Elizabeth Holmes
Lins Dorman? Seriously, that's my step-sister's husband.
Give me a break to much time went by! He took her life.
that reporter at the end.;with her crossed eyes & goofy glasses is epic.
😂😂
Apparently you think this thread is for you to just scatter shoot insults at people. Grow up
Careful now, you don't want to trigger the Karens.
The camera Man tried to help her out. But she insisted that the glasses gave her authority.
