Its less about the money and more about, as said in the video, the principle. Scooter Braun took advantage of the fact that Taylor was very young when she signed the record deal to steal the rights to her work. Rerecording her albums was a step towards empowerment and to help spread information about the issue of artists not getting to own their work. So really, it just feels immoral to not listen to the Taylors Versions. But if you want to, at least buy a CD so you dont support Scooter and his label repeatedly.
