I think you would like Royal Beggars from that Album. It has some cleans but it’s heavy mostly throughout and they do play the keyboard while playing guitar. If you want something from the past you can’t go wrong with Gravedigger. It’s the song that introduced me to the band and it’s 🔥!
Derek Charette I said from that album Holy Hell and I was limiting it to songs with videos. Do you serious think Hereafter is heavier than Royal Beggars? He said he didn’t like the clean chorus, RB is a heavier chorus. I also mentioned Gravedigger which is screams throughout and mentioned it was what got me started with Architects not that any of these are the best song ever created by Architects.
Hello from Russia! React to Doomsday and Gone with the wind. This songs about gutarist and song writer Tom Searle, who passed away by cancer at 2016. Gone with the wind conveys the feelings and emotions of Tom at the time of the deep stage of the disease. Doomsday is the last song to which Tom had his hand. In fact, this song is act of farewell with Tom. Very emotional tracks.
I like your comment about a lot of bands having this kind of sound in metalcore at the moment. Architects at the moment is absolutely massive in terms of popularity, and they're one of the pioneers of this kind of metalcore sound. Most people that know Architects will comment on other metalcore bands sounding like Architects. Personally their last album didn't really do it for me but the three albums before that have shaped modern metalcore a lot in my opinion. I saw someone else suggest These Colour Don't Run and I'd agree with checking that song since it's from 2012 and it's an absolute banger. It's the start of this band's rise to fame so to speak.
I really don't like metalcore in general but what draws me in about Architects is their singer and the way he can inject clean/melodic undertones into his screams making the cleaner parts still sound heavy vocally. He reminds me a bit of Devin Townsend when it comes to that ability though Townsend is still on another level vocally.
If you want the full Architects experience watch their Doomsday doc. It's like 30min but details how Tom was the true lead in the band and they were sort of lost without him for a moment. They play 2 AMAZING live performances.
nice that you are checking out more metalcore, what are your thoughts on deathcore btw? anyway, i hope you can react soon to Northlane!! "Dispossession" or "I shook hand with death" for their oldest stuff (their lyric content are very intresting), and Colourwave or Talking Head with their newest vocalist, he's more melodic and has a very incredible range and beautiful voice to be honest
The problem is I listen to it almost everyday. It's a classic for me. So it would be a review not a reaction. I just have plenty of reactions to get to right now until I take time to get into reviews
First of all I want to make one point very clear: No offense to anyone! I think it's funny how you call this breakdown solid... It's like nothing compared to other breakdowns by Architects and I hope you will get into those as well... Second thing is, that (as already mentioned by other guys here) it's not like Architects sound like other Metalcore bands. It's the other way around. They are the godfathers of Metalcore :D Their songwriting is just top notch and in my eyes nothing is comparable to these guys. "Holy Hell" is maybe not the best way to start with Architects, as it's the bands first album after the passing of Tom, who was the twin brother of Dan, songwriter and guitarist for Architects. So maybe you should start with older stuff to be able to fully understand and appreciate "Holy Hell". Again: just some ideas and in no way trying to anger anyone ;) T//S ♥
I'm not offended. healthy discussion or Debate is good. But there are many bands that did metalcore and did it very well. Before Architects (ps I love Architects)

The bass player, Alex actually does the keys for the songs on the new record, including this one.
Trivium - Thrown Into the Fire
(I didn't even like this one at first, but after giving it a full listen I love it now, it's so heavy)
One of my favorite songs by them. Nice reaction!
A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Modern Slave” by Novelists. It’ll blow your mind. Artists and musicians in one. You’ll thank me.

Their bassist plays keys on some songs. A lot of their songs have synth melodies in the background.
You gotta listen to Gone With the Wind.
Only good and true reaction I've found on YT. Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷👊🏻
You need to listen to the whole album, it's amazing from start to finish.

Darkest Hour- Tunguska
Crystal Lake - Devilcry Japanese Metalcore at its absolute finest!
React to All that Remains- This Calling. It is an explosion of everything you ever thought you needed...

Doomsday is a must
"Pretty standard for metalcore" Well obviously, Architects (with other bands) kind of defined nowadays metalcore
You need and solid breakdown? Try After the Burial
Listen to Crystal Lake- Apollo!
Hi from 🇨🇱🌶️
Please try to check Animus by Monument. They're funky and heavy

Godfathers? You mean the OGs or most influential. Pretty narrow minded statement...
@@matthewlarkin2163 sorry if my thoughts were offending you. Hope you can understand, that this was not my Intention and I am no native speaker...
