    I would not recommend disconnecting the wifi antenna! I did it like in the video and it does not attach again. Such connectors are not manufactured to be used repeatedly. In the case of this disassembly it is also not necessary to disconnect, just swing the mainboard out of the case.

      @@MadAboutTutorials Very good video, indeed! The work to replace the keyboard was postponed and I did it finally yesterday! Before that I rewatched your video and I have to say, that without your video and the well-marked areas (screws, connections etc) it would have been a much harder job. Now it went pretty well! My only hesitation was working with the plastics, but it finally went pretty well with a solder iron - and I also managed to re-seal about half of the plastic pin locks. Thanks once more!

    • @MadAboutTutorials
      @MadAboutTutorials  Год назад

      I didn't have a temp gauge on my soldering iron, I just adjusted up until it softened the plastic without burning it. There was heaps of plastic on each weld, so you can reuse where you need to. Thanks for watching.

    • @patsonmusic

      @@MadAboutTutorials Indeed. I fixed the flickering scree in another Yoga 520 by reconnecting the screen cable and making sure there was no pressure on the cable tearing it away from the connection. And in a Yoga 500 the flickering screen was due to a bad battery, so installing a new battery in that laptop eliminated the flickering all together!
