Rockenfield killing it on the drums. All the members are exceptional to their craft. Makes this one of the most underrated heavy metal bands in my opinion.
From what I know of their history so far I agree with you. I read today they have opened for Dio, AC/DC, Metallica and so on. I feel strongly from what I have heard they are easily on the same level of talent, and I LOVE when artists tell stories and have real, meaningful lyrics
Imagine if Queensryche and Chastain became mainstream instead of Nirvana and the grunge bands. The metal scene would have been extremely different today.
Hey brother, Army vet, tank commander in the 70's, former rock DJ on FM radio, man of many talents, and a lover of this band...this is by far their "signature" album...thrilled you are reacting to these talented men...Rock ON!!!
I love the credentials my friend! I'm glad you are enjoying and reliving this journey with me! The visuals I get while listening are so vivid. The guys know how to write and how to perform!
“ Operation LiveCrime “ is the version you really want to watch for a reaction channel. It either way. Queensryche was LEGIT all the way around and so under appreciated for the times
I'm of the opinion, humbly so, that album versions are better 1st. It's the way they recorded it for everyone to hear. Live is great after knowing the music.
I saw them perform this whole album on the "Empire" tour in 1992, one of the best shows I have ever seen! Go watch "Operation:Livecrime" and you will understand, you will be a fan forever!👍
Just stumbled upon your reaction video to Operation: Mindcrime. Glad to see you're reacting to and breaking down the entire album. Usually, I only see reactors react to one or two songs off of this epic album. I think it's one of the greatest concept albums ever made, and it deserves a deeper dive, such as your doing.
There's a LOT to digest here! But your approach is a good one. And with subsequent listens you will pick up all kinds of subtleties that slip through the first few times you hear this monumental album! Yeah, Dr. X is controlling Nikki in a number of ways, but mainly through his drug addiction, and also through experiments in mind control. Like the "MK Ultra" experiments our own government carried out on unconsenting subjects years ago (another rabbit hole). And yeah, all of this IS still relevant today. I think it's because they're talking about situations and conditions that are timeless and don't really change much over the years. This stuff has been going on, in some form, since the beginning of time! And yes, "Mindcrime" IS a trigger word for Nikki. One of the mind control methods being used on him. Great comments, and I like the time you're putting into understanding what the story is about. And the MUSIC! It's a huge WOW for me on every level.
Thank you for the info and clarification! I have read about MK Ultra, the Tuskeegee experiments, and many other foul things our government has done, so in these times, this type of songwriting is critical. It makes people think. Thanks for hanging out and checking out the music with me!🤘🤘
Thank you! By part 2 I meant in the series covering the first Operation Mindcrime album. I'll edit these titles to clarify because I can see how it could easily be confused with the second Mindcrime album. Thank you for pointing that out
I saw Geoff in an interview from 5 years ago, and I was picking up on that vibe. I am personally more in the center, a bit to the right, and more so in to the adherence to the constitution. What made me really like Geoff was his emphasis on the importance of freedom of speech. While the band may differ on opinions on how things should be, I respect all people who say what they feel regardless of opposition or penalty of doing so. We only move forward by exchanging ideas and proving each other both right and wrong. Thank you for the info🤘🤘
Listen to this everyday doing dishes and watch livecrime at least once a month. Been a fan since 1984, 54 years old and don't plan on stopping

Scott certainly does honor to his last name!! He's a BEAST on drums!! And I agree with you, EVERY member of QR is exceptionally talented!!
@@purplekat5864 The "Man in Chains" is what he was known as. His kit was as impressive as his ability to play it.

@@Texas_Love awesome!!
This album was written during the Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush years. Queensryche is a left leaning rock band, to say the least.

I think they were just able to see the truth, regardless of which side of the aisle you fall on.
now the fascists are on the left and the media like cnn, msnbc, are covering for the radical left.
Let me know if you're on TRUTH...I'll Follow
