Hello Jim. I pulled up your You Tube video 2 years ago and you got me playing the banjo. Thank you! I pick it up every day and love it. I traded in my Deering Goodtime for a custom Rickards and it’s a cannon! It’s almost 8:00 am on a Saturday morning and my banjo is sitting on the chair just waiting for the family to get out of bed. Your an AMAZING teacher.
DYNAMITE of a song Jim, a really tasty tune to play. Everything I already know, just put together differently and easily understandable. I love how you made it so fun and great sounding to go up the neck. We all thank you and appreciate your terrific lessons. Bring on more up the neck tunes!
Dear Jim, I’ve been watching your channel and I was wanting to learn how to play theme time. Been playing banjo for about 30+ years but I’m self taught and I can’t play down the neck very well. This is one of my favorite songs I’ve always wanted to play and you showed me the chords and I picked it up real quick and I will practice the heck out of it now. God bless you sir and thank you for your wonderful lessons.
Love your videos, Jim. You have a gift of breaking the songs down in simplified form that enables beginners to learn great songs without all the tab and stress. I know you did Nashville Blues many years ago, but that was before I think you truly hit your stride breaking songs down for us beginners. Ya think you could make that one a do-over and cover it again with your much improved format? Hope you are well.
can you do an other from one from Bill Emerson? Like Soft Winds of Oklahoma or The Grey Ghost? Also, how many comments do you respond to every day? I don't think i saw that many to which you haven't answered. By the way, great vid! now i try to learn it! Thanks a lot!
I'm practicing on this little tune right now, but although I like it and want to play it, that's not why. I am finding I have to keep adding new input to keep progressing on songs I am already getting better at. Is that normal?
Hi Jim! I got a bad buzzing-sound while hitting my 5th string, got any advice how to fix it? Changing the string didn’t make any difference. Thanks in advice, greetings from Norway
Will be very hard for me to diagnose without actually seeing the instrument. Could be the pup where it rests on the neck, or could be buzzing at the bridge.
@@JimPankey I changed the bridge and it worked well. Have you considered making a tutorial on «Flint hill special» by Flatt & Scruggs? Keep up the good work!😄
Hi Jim! Thanks for the lesson. Here is the link to me playing it. ruclips.net/user/shortsefQY0HCtP84?feature=share One area of trouble I have is the first pull off jumping for the second string right into the third string pull off.

Can't hear you
Try again... working everywhere else.
