I think this is the best level of conservative driving. Fast, but not quite on the edge that you risk totalling your car for just a track day. Nice video mate.

Acabo de dar unos laps ayer en el ring y note que mucha gente no usa casco. Muy aterrador para mi ya que de donde vengo, de EEUU y PR, no puedes pisar una pista sin uno. Buen manejo! Yo también tengo un 86 en casa.
Gracias! si la verdad que el casco no lo usa mucha gente, al no estar considerado como "circuito" en los días de apertura a turistas no es obligatorio, pero si muy recomendable. Cuando grabe esta vuelta apenas estaba empezando a ir a circuitos y no estaba acostumbrado a llevar el casco, ahora ya lo llevo siempre. Yo acabo de alinear my 86. -3 deg afrente, -2.6 deg atras para camber y 0 toe alrededor. Estoy usando Tein coilovers y a ver como me va. Todavía no lo he probado.
Buena vuelta... ¿se nota algo en cifras de par/potencia máxima la repro+admisión, o una mejor distribución del par? Estos coches tienen un bache en medios que parece difícil de mitigar. ¿Tanto o más rápido que un EP3 al final del video? ;) También parece que se beneficiaría de unas gomas con aún más grip (semis), a veces parece que sufre demasiada deriva, o quizás es sólo que entrabas fuerte.
Con la electrónica se nota mucho más vivo desde abajo y en todo el rango de RPM, es cierto que sigue teniendo un bache en la gráfica entre 3000 y 4000 pero es casi inapreciable ahora. Las gomas es algo pendiente que tengo para probar, unas Federal 595 RS-R serán las próximas. Veremos si convencen.

Para mi si, porque al ser un sistema abierto y si tienes cocimientos en el tema, puedes ajustar los paramentos que quieras. Es mas económico que Ecutek por ejemplo, aun este tenga alguna opción mas que OFT no ofrece, pero vamos calidad/precio de OFT... muy recomendable. Tienes un GT86 también?
Gracias! De serie suele dar entre 180/190 cv y 200 NM de par, con stage 1 se consiguen 10 cv y 10 NM aproximadamente. Como cualquier otra reprogramación consiste de modificar los parámetros de la ECU para sacar más rendimiento, el cambio no es tan drástico en los motores atmosféricos como en los turbos, pero más allá de las cifras, prefiero quedarme con las sensaciones que aporta. La forma de entregar la potencia es mucho mejor, más lleno en toda la banda de rpm, para mí merece mucho la pena.
Javi G Muchas gracias. Otra pregunta, ¿hiciste esa vuelta con las ayudas a la conducción activadas? Se ven luces encenderse en el cuadro. ¿La ECU del GT86 es reprogramable o hay que cambiarla?
La vuelta fue con las ayudas electrónicas apagadas, es decir control de tracción y de estabilidad apagado. Esto se hace pulsando 3 segundos un botón que llevamos en el coche, como muchos otros hoy en día. Lo que ocurre, es que aun apagando las ayudas de esa manera, sigue funcionando el reparto electrónico de frenada, que es lo que causa que parpadee esa luz en las frenadas. Hay un método llamado pedal dance, con el que se puede apagar completamente todas las ayudas electrónicas incluyendo el reparto electrónico de frenada, exceptuando el ABS, que esto si que sigue encendido. Tendré que probar este modo la próxima vez que acuda a un circuito :P No hace falta cambiar la ECU para reprogramarla, con la ayuda de un aparato llamado OFT (Open Flash Tablet), se puede leer el mapa de serie y después cargarle un mapa modificado con el que consigues esa mejora en la entrega de potencia. También hay otros métodos para leer/escribir en la ECU sin cambiarla, pero OFT es el que yo uso y recomiendo.
Mire la presión justo antes de ir a Alemania, pero después ya no la volví a mirar jaja La presión recomendada son 2.2, así que estaría en torno a esa al empezar y con las vueltas iría subiendo. Pero vamos que ya te digo que no me pare a medirla después :P

I love the way it corners and feels, but as I'm sure you know a kick in the ass on the straights is all this car needs to really stand out. I was leaning towards Super charging to smooth out the torque dip at 3-4.5k Rpm. And any other recommendations for the car?? I have it with the TRD Rims and tires, lowered and frimed Springs and anti-sway bar on its way.

This great extra firmness gives you, not uncomfortable for daily driving, I'm looking forward to try it in circuit, in a very short time: P As for the subject of the turbo or compressor, I would choose the compressor, since I really like the linearity it has to raise rpm and I would not want to lose that. Here in Spain it is quite complicated to be able to do it since you need to legalize the whole system and it is something too expensive for me, but I would love to try it haha

Hi, I had all the electronic controls turned off, traction and stability, but the electronic brake distribution is still activated at that moment, that is why the light flashes. There is a method called pedal dance with which you can also disconnect the electronic brake distributor, but still do not use it in circuit.
I think going past 225 on stock power actually hurts lap times because of the weight and rolling resistance. Road and Track ran faster times at stock sizes than 235's when they tested with some Dunlop Direzzas.
