I've actually seen that done a few times and it does look way nicer. I didn't wanna deal with the fab side of that given the deadline for this show. Thanks for watching!
Thanks. I think it definitely helped the stance. At least the kicker's all good now. I've experienced Sportster knee enough times to not be sloppy about the kicker.
Hey, great video and content generally. I was wondering if you could answer a question. I'm full restoring a 75 ironhead and I'm having trouble getting the year axle to fit through the wheel. I know its supposed to be a tight fit, but I can't fit it though. Should I be greasing the shaft or am I doing something wrong?
Tight on the bearings? Sorry for the late reply, been away from the computer a bit. I usually grease the axle first. Does the axle fit through the wheel out of the frame? I'd check that first.
I will for sure be making a first start video. I ran out of time on getting it running before hand, but it's still winter and there's tons of time to get it running proper. First start video will be coming soon, in all of the one kick (extremely hopeful) glory or the 20 minutes of kicking (the reality) of a fresh build. Thanks for watching!
Nice to see someone working on the ironheads. I have a 70 and 74 projects going on. Really enjoying the videos. This is my wife's account, I don't really do computer stuff. Shop stuff I'm good with, computers not so much.
Working on a '72 XLCH myself, these videos have been very helpful, thanks!
Glad to help! Thanks for watching!

Kicker problems. Damn! The longer shocks look good. I’m not a fan of slammed rear ends on old Ironheads and the stance on your machine is good.
