I am Korean, and aside from travel, I have lived in Canada, Switzerland, China, Italy, Netherlands, Australia, and UK through exchange studentship, study abroad, and immigration. No matter where I live, there have been different types of deficiency and pain. A friend of mine did phd in Switzerland receiving quite a lot of money, but he lived there in tears every day. Konunuz aniden bana eski bir düşünceyi hatırlatıyor. 😃
I guess it comes down to a lot of things; including where one's from and the expectations one might have. I would say I'm generally a very happy person, just realized that I would be even happier in a lower context culture probably hahahah But I hope your friend finally found the place that makes him the happiest! Looks like I have many years of trial and error ahead of me:')

can you make a video or longer talking session about the difference in socialization between koreans and foreigners? i've seen disocurse online that koreans relate to each other by talking about childhood and younger memories hence why their firned group is the same people since elementary...
I know so many koreans that decided to move to new zealand or australia and now they're living their best lives. Korea is a beautiful country but I guess it's really true that it's not for everyone, I'm happy for you and your family!:)
New sub here! Late to the party but I already like your vibe! Nice getting to know a bit about you! I'm ethnically Filipino and also a polyglot, juggling a few languages in whatever time I have, although you probably know Spanish and German better than I do right now 😅 Since you started Korean about 9 years, you're no doubt way better than I am. Around that time (10 years ago), I actually started learning Japanese and still learning new things even to this day (when there's time, of course), so at this point, I know it decently. Since English is your second language and considering a change of scenery, not touting my own horn here, but have you considered the Philippines as a destination? Many foreigners, even Korean people, get hooked and end up staying even when they didn't consider it at first. What starts as a 2 week stay for many ends up extending 2+ years because of the cost of living and hospitality. Anyway, it's up to you, or bahala na in Tagalog 👍
It's so interesting your perspective on your business major, I went through the same and always thought that too. In your case what major would you have liked to have studied instead of business?
2x e almadan dinleyebildiğim tek insansın bu kadar akıcı hızlı ve ilgi çekici konuşman da polyglotluk yanında ekstra bi superpower galiba teşekkürler harika bi videoydu contentlerini çok seviyorum💜💜 i love loving people ve onları hayatımda tutmak için her şeyi yapıyorum demişsin ya i felt that shsjsj ama bazen bu da yeterli olmuyor o insanların da seni tutmayı istemesi gerekiyor bu konuda da şanslı olmana sevindim 🌸

I like watching your vid cuz I relate so much .. I love languages and my ultimate fantasy is travelling around the world ... the problem is as u said uni is scam .. for me I had so many interests from science to maths to IT to languages .. LOL ... and since I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with my life and couldn't pick only one path I just picked business school .. I feel like I've been wasting 5 years of my youth doing business degree ... that I absolutely hate .. I really wanna start over and move abroad once I graduate but I have no clear plan and every international opportunity seems to be hard to get .... LOVE SO MUCH Eylul u are such a REAL human

@8:25 I grew up in Berlin moved out over 15 years ago, never looked back. Still have family there, and visit regularly. If you're looking for structure (especially for well working administration) and meaningful connections / friends, do not move to Berlin. It's good for night life, shopping, having fun etc but not for living. Berlin is overpriced, superficial, and unhealthy in the long run.
Hey, I guess if you’re looking for better work conditions Germany is a good choice kinda? 2. nesil Gurbetci olarak etrafimda gördügüm yeni gelen türkler almanyayi cok romantize ediyorlar, ondan sana tavsiye edebilcem sey bu: evet burasi güzel, nekadar sinir olsam da baska yere tasinmak istemem, kendini kurallardan dolayi güvende hisediyorsun ama o ayni kurallar hayati zorlastiriyor, regarding digitalization? Germany is SO far behind, be prepared for the stress of that, the weather? It’s lowkey depressing but also okay, if the sun comes out it’s cooking the people alive for a straight week with insane humidity but then u have like three months of pure cold weather and rain, it’s honestly insane, the people here are a bit distant but not unfriendly, racism and micro aggressions is a huge issue kinda and there will be a lot of stereotypes about especially Turkish people, and the Turkish people here you meet? The so called „kanaken“ lmao I’ll just say that in my mind we are our own people, not really like Turks in Türkiye and not German either, there is a culture to being a gurbetci it’s a unique experience, but watching you for over a year I think you could thrive here eylül!! Yolun acik olsun

Helloo! Thank you so so much for this comment🥹💖 Actually I saw it yesterday during an emotional moment and it made me cry to think about how someone on the internet that likes me took the time to explain all this to me….also got emotional because I sometimes have doubts about Germany too and think about what if I don’t feel accepted there as well. So people living there actually commenting from their perspective is so valuable for me. Bu arada I loooove cold and gray weather😂 So lowkey can’t wait for that hahahaha

Berlin is a dream, I think you'd love Berlin.

definitely! i think i will make a video about why i would like to move out of korea and this is something that i will definitely mention:)
my family is from korea and all moved to new zealand to settle down, working in korea is just not worth how mentally and physically demanding it is

I’m thinking of majoring in international business… what advice would you give me? Like is it worth it…
100% agree that business degrees are a scam. I studied international business in Canada and I learned everything I do for work on the job.
How do u feel with the frustration of not understanding everything or feeling that it will take so long to reach fluency? Please reply ❤
