After a short visit to Batroun’s souk this summer, I sent a few photos to a Palestinian-American friend in the US. She and her partner Mary got interested in Batroun as they are planning a visit to the Levant next year. They found your 91-minute video online and watched the whole thing without subtitles, albeit they don’t understand Arabic. This says a lot about the beauty of the landscape that kept them hooked, the skills of the videographer, and your talent as a producer and presenter. I didn’t know much about جرود البترون (the high-altitude villages of Batroun), albeit I had lived half of my life in Lebanon. So, I sat down to watch your video. I am still in awe! I was mesmerized by the beauty over there… not just the manicured new souk that i had seen, but the raw beauty, the majestic nature, the humble people yet with entrepreneurial spirit, and the cute projects they started to make a living and make the “Caza de Batroun” an attraction for visitors whether they’re from outside the country or local tourists. Bravo, Anthony! PS: Don’t mind the silly comment below about using a couple of words of English. On the contrary. I was impressed by you sticking to Arabic 99% of the time unlike other obnoxious presenters who mix in English and/or French all the time and in every sentence. Keep on doing what you do, produce good videos, and don’t mind a few silly, uninformed critics. There’s a proverb of Turkish origin that says, « Le chien aboie, la caravane passe ». Keep your “caravan” moving!
Ich möchte, dass Sie über die Kurden sprechen. Ich lebe in Deutschland. Ich bete Kurdisch. Ich habe im Libanon gearbeitet. Der Libanon ist ein sehr schönes Land. Ich liebe es.
Anthony, my daughter wants to know why you don't English subtitle your Arabic speaking shows, she loves your shows but gets frustrated because she doesn't understand.
So you are Arab and speaking Arabic in your show but still you mix fucking english in it and you show sushi and top on that you play Chinese music. Way to go mate
