Hard to believe that in the 20 years this band has been a thing, this is Johns favorite song that they've done. And admittedly, it's becoming more of a favorite of mine as well.

The people who disliked this don't know what their missing.... Theirs song is so amazing and moving... And this band is awesome... I don't know where I would be in life today without them..... It started with them and led to other bands like sleeping with sirens and pierce the veil... But no matter what I always end up coming back to listen to more if this band.... I think that as much as I love all of the louder music they make.... awake and alive, monster ETC. the softer songs they make are always a good relief
This album rise has simply taken one of my all time favorite bands and elevated them to a new height of awesome
I think Christian bands like Skillet have great lyrics, lyrics that actually matter, lyrics that speak truth about the world and even lyrics that can help people through the day because they can relate to them. I'm not Christian myself but so many songs I have constantly on repeat are by Christian bands because I like songs with lyrics that actually have meaning. I wish there were a lot more bands around like these.
Skillet is the band I listen to when I'm down, and they're pretty much the only band who understand my life, and when I heard this and Sick Of It, I was nearly crying I loved it so much, so can I say thank you Skillet, thank you for existing because each day your songs make my life a whole lot better :)
This is, without a doubt, going to go down as an American legend. Just like Lee Greenwood, Battle Hymn of the Republic, and the other American classics, this song speaks to the times and events currently happening. Well done, John!! Well. Done.

I love how Skillet has both good music and good meaningful lyrics. Too often in this world do we get either neither, or the first and not the latter. There is far too much rubbish in the media. Skillet forever!

As a teenager heading to college I think of all the songs on the album this is the one that our generation should take to heart the most.

Admittedly, I didn't care for this song when it first came out (I'm used to Skillet having a more harder sound), but I heard it again this morning on the way to work and it really spoke to me, and I think it has more relevance today.

Things seem to keep getting worse and worse because of horrible people, but we can't let that keep us from doing as much good as we can to make things right again.

Skillet has always been the band that brings new music to each album. Honestly, this song is awesome! Even though its a change for skillet, it's still amazing! Skillet always brings new music to the table! And that's why their my favorite band!
From what I've heard I like Rise the best over all of their albums. Each album has been better than the last, Go Skillet! Keep doing what you're doing!

Skillet is really good at being subtle and not in your face with their belief. They talked about that during a concert of theirs that I went to (btw they're amazing live). They want everyone to listen to their music so that we all can hear the message. They have great songs on their albums "Comatose" and "Awake" also.
I don't care what anyone says. This is the type of music that the world today needs. Uplifting music to show that there is hope and that every storm will end.

I've been listening to skillet for years. They will never get old.
Ive listened to Skillet from the beginning and they always completely change every album! But they are still epic and ive loved each album better than the last! This song has some soul to it and i live that! Keep it up guys!

I love skillet so much. With their rock influences and unique style they can reach audiences that some Christian music groups can't. And they are truly nice, funny, caring, talented people who are in it not for money, but to change people's lives for the better. And this album gives me a sense of strength, of hope, that our challenges in life will be nothing as long as we remain courageous. Skillet, don't stop being awesome!!! :)

I got a chance to see Skillet at Creationfest this year and it was one of their first performances since the new album dropped and I already heard this song before when they released it but when John told the audience what this song was about it really touched me. This song is truly my favorite song on the album and by skillet.
It's been a while since their last album, when I heard about there new album I had to check it out and now I can;t wait till it comes out!!!

What message is there for Christ in this song? It's amazing to me where Christian music has gone today. Right into the secular world. Someone who's not a Christian can listen to this song and they wouldn't even know it was a so called "Christian" song.
Think about it this way, if you didn't believe in God and you knew Skillet was an all Christian band, talking about Christ/God in every song, would you listen to it? No. Is the message in this song bad? No. Wouldn't you think if people who don't believe in God who liked Skillet's music would do a search through all of their music and find that they made a worship album? If people didn't do that, then they'd probably at least watch some interviews or something, then find out that they're a band of Christian's. Is it bad to try to draw in people from all walks of life by making music that isn't "offensive" to people who don't believe? Have Skillet lost their roots? No. Do they cuss, or say anything that would offend Christians, Christ, or God? No. What is the issue with making something that can be helpful whether you believe, or not and not be offensive to anyone? Also, Skillet still technically isn't a Christian band and they've been making music since 1996. This also isn't a Christian song.

Just because they don't say Jesus or praise or words of the like doesn't make it secular or unchristian it's just them getting a message out there. Even of people don't hear this song and run to the church you have no idea the effect it can have on someone's life in the long run
