I've been playing since 1984. You sound like a real guitar player to me.
😄 well I appreciate it, thank you!
Gorgeous!! Great job!!
Thank you so much!! 👍🏼😁
Nice freakin job on that burst and finish... that's a beautiful thing
Thank you very much! 😁👍🏼
Oh yes you are. And one of the most enjoyable guitar builds I've watched. Those Seymour Duncan pickups sound nice too. Great Job 😊
Well thank you for that, I appreciate it! 😁👍🏼
Wonderful! Awesome!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!!!
That looks and sounds incredible!
Thank you so much!! 😁👍🏼
This is one of the best displays of craftsmanship on the internet 🔥🔥🔥🔥💪 and the music is just beautiful!
Great music, shout out Colton! 😜😂
Wonderful is your Name! Love it. Love the build, nice job.
Yes!!!!! Thank you so much! 👍🏼
Awesome job on the burst!!
Thank you!! 😄👍🏼
You're so talented bubba!!!! Love you tons. I'm so proud of you
😁😁thank you!!
Excellent build, nice jam :)
😁👍🏼 thank you so much! I appreciate that!
Nice job on the finish! Looks great
Thank you so much!
Very interesting and beautiful! Luv the guitar playing!! 😍😍
Very sloppy playing but the guitar sounds pretty amazing 😂
Cut the self deprecating sir, just say Thank You! You're amazing bub
HolyBatShit that is an IMPRESSIVE build!!!
Thank you so much!!
@@afrazier2332 I'm going to try the Rid Dye thing 3:)
Yes!! You’ll love it!! Blending the different colors can really get fun!😄👍🏼
Very cool - I believe the humbucker pickup rings are backwards. Check @ 12:14 for a good view. Fun build!!
He's right... the neck pickup ring is backwards... not a biggie... you might even want to consider a shorter, flat pickup ring
😄 good catch! Yes I caught that after the guitar was completely done and had to go back and fix it 😁👍🏼
Yes, thanks for the heads up! Caught it way too late 😂🤦🏼♂️
Coloring came out beautiful
Thank you!! 👍🏼
Well done! Beautiful build.
Thank you so much!! 👍🏼
Amazing work! Gorgeous guitar!
Thank you so much!! 👍🏼
The finish reminds me of my first bowling ball. The guitar came out great. I would have used the zebra pickups though. The cream color would have complimented the top edges of the horns.
Very good point! But man these Seymour Duncan’s really sound great so I went with them 😄👍🏼
@@afrazier2332 they also come in zebra. 😁
Oh no way?! 😄🤦🏼♂️ I didn’t see those on Reverb when I was ordering these… bummer, next build! 😁👍🏼 thanks for the tip!
That thing screams bro!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It does man!! 👍🏼😁
Very good job.
Thank you so much!! 👍🏼
Beautiful job. !!! You have a treasure. Lots of skill. And love that New World audio snippet....Workin' man, such a fun song.....you need a matching polyester suit to go with that now 🧐
😂😂👍🏼 yes!!! So glad you caught the NWS!! Those guys are one of my favorites bands!! 👌🏼
Bro! I want to buy one of your builds seriously. WOW🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
😁👍🏼 send me an email, I can get you a quote. Or you can hit me up on my Etsy page as well…
Nice build!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
@@afrazier2332 Damn good playing as well!
😄 ah man, I appreciate it! It’s a little sloppy but just wanted to get the sound of the pickups on the video 😄👍🏼
I can’t wait for the merch to drop😎🫡
Coming soon, maybe a shirt with Josh’s face!! 😜😂
I like that you started with the black die. It gives it a metal undertone.
I’m pretty sure that’s how the PRS dye jobs are done
Yes, that really helps bring out the figuring in the wood! 👍🏼👍🏼
That's a fine looking guitar and your playing is fine
Well thank you very much! I appreciate that! 😁👍🏼
It may have been there, but I didn't notice a ground wire going to one of the tailpiece studs. Usually there before you drive in the studs. Nice color.
Yes, unfortunately I missed it on the video but it got installed 😁👍🏼
I wish they made a kit with a trem body. This video really really sold me on this kit. You did an amazing job! I wonder if the duesenberg les trem would work for it.
Thank you!! Yes you could definitely modify the body with a router to make a trim bridge fit in there for sure! 👍🏼 I’d love to see your work if you end up building one!
My brother. You should stop selling your playing short! Sounds as good as it looks! Nicely done.
😄 man, I appreciate it! 👍🏼
Great looking build. Just a bit of unsolicited advice. The compound left what we detailers call scouring. You could always follow up with a nice polish to remove and increase gloss. Or use a compound with a diminishing abrasive. Still beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tip! I actually did use a swirl remover polish at the very end, just didn’t include that in the video so it didn’t take too much time… but if you know of a better polish to remove the scouring I would love to know about it. Thanks for the tip!! 👍🏼
Bridge ground? I didn't see one. Been using Rit dyes for all kinds of stuff since way back in the 80's. I'm building an SG and using Rit dye purple because it's always been my favorite shade of purple.
Yes it’s such a cool way to stain!! 👍🏼 and yes, I did install the ground to the bridge. Just didn’t catch it on video 😄🤦🏼♂️
Beautiful! Also not “judging” the guitar playing too harshly 😂
😂appreciate that!! 👌🏼
The Guitar looks Great ! I also didn't hear anything wrong with the Playing.
Well thank you! I appreciate the compliment 😄👍🏼
Thank you very much! I appreciate it! 👍🏼
Great build! What kinda seymour Duncan's did you use? Love the ' deep sea blue' body!
Thanks! Yes the color came out pretty great… these are the Seymour Duncan Distortion Mayhem humbuckers… super hot pickups! They can scream 😄👍🏼
That guitar came out great 👍 is that a Maple top ? I saw you rubbing the dye on like a PRS video they have here on RUclips.
Thank you!! Yes sir, it’s a quilted maple veneer on the top of an alder body 👍🏼
At 6:12, why didn't you add a ground wire to bridge mounting bolt?
Yes, I actually did later… just forgot to catch that on the video 👍🏼
Probably should have hit it with a fine polish after the compound.
I actually did use the polish at the end… just didn’t want to spend too much of the video going through all the buffing steps 😁👍🏼👍🏼
But didn`t you forget the bridge grounding wire?
Good catch! 😄👍🏼 I actually did that later on but forgot to catch it on the video
nice but the heal block hand shake looks uncomfortable.shape that more maybe next time.
That’s a great idea! Thanks for the tip! 😁👍🏼
Was this unintentional ASMR?😁
Oh no it was intentional! It’s called woodwork shop asmr! 😜😂
How the hell are you gonna use de oxidizing spray on the closed backs of the pots, and then turn them like you did something?!?! You spray INSIDE THE POT, by the damn soldering posts!
I did spray it into the pot, I didn’t spray it on top of the pot 😂😂🤦🏼♂️
U not smart
Thank you!! 😂👌🏼
Good video or not. I strongly dislike videos with no talking and only some horrible music. Thanks any way. Updqted) Nice guy 👦
😄👍🏼 all good, there are plenty of channels with talking… I just prefer to show my work and have some music playing… no worries, thanks for the input 😄👍🏼
Beautiful build. Did I miss the grounding of the bridge or did it get done off camera? Edit: sorry, just read the other comments. I made the same mistake on my first build. Realised I hadn’t ground the bridge afterwards 🫣
😄 ha ha! Yeah I did that on my first guitar as well… I did install this one, just didn’t catch it on the video unfortunately 😄🤦🏼♂️
👍 perfect! 🙃
Great build! What kinda seymour Duncan's did you use? Love the ' deep sea blue' body!
Distortion Mayhem humbuckers, they sound great!! 👍🏼
