    Thank you for this video. I was with Progressive and had a monthly payment of $211 with a $994 6 month premium coming up. Geico however save me $200 off the 6 month premium to $715 for the same coverage and monthly payment of $124

    I’ve had Geico and it is the worst insurance once you actually have an issue. I had a car accident and while the police report ticketed the other person and claimed they were at fault, Geico wanted to blame me just to raise my premiums and not pay for repairs. They also will not cover my passenger with PIP in the accident because they now claim it was no fault on anyone, however they previously claimed that it was my fault and that’s why they wouldn’t pay for repairs. This is the most selfish and stingy insurance company out there.

    I’ve been with GEICO for about a year now, I live in Tennessee and I’m 22 years old. I’m paying 248 a month for full coverage on my 2013 Ford Mustang that I financed. I have 0 tickets and 0 accidents and all state quoted me 119 a month for better coverage. I’m not sure what I should do after watching some of the videos and reviews of all state.

    I have Geico and my car got stolen so now I'm finding out that they are actually trash. The rental coverage I pay for is absolutely useless so far because Geico won't give me a rental car until I give them a copy of the police report and footage proving I last left the car when I said I did. The police report takes days to get, and my apartment is slow to address my request for camera footage so I've been without a car for 5 days now and I commute to work every day. I asked my agent if we could work something out, they said no they need those things from me first. I have a completely clean record, yet it feels like I'm being scrutinized by my own insurance company and making a shitty situation even harder to deal with. Don't recommend Geico at all.

    as i got older and drove less and less to about 1000 miles a year with perfect no tickets, no accidents ever, my policy double over an 8 year period for no apparent reason so we changed companies and also learned from new company we did not need stacked coverage and geico never mentioned it...out premium went from 64. to 37 per month for same coverage with non stacked...

    • @estebanborj
      @estebanborj 3 месяца назад

      that is something that you can google and find out easily if you are interested in having a cheap premium, geico agents attend callers in all states of the USA, what happens is that every state has different legal limits and in some cases some might have as law to have your coverage stacked but in some other cases not therefore maybe the agent that is selling the policy at the moment will not be Shure about and prefers to go on the safe side and assigns you with the stacked coverage but either way that is something that you can always modify by calling at their service line and they would be able to modify that for you for what is left of your contract. The difference between stacked and non stacked is that stacked will add up all your coverages in case of an accident and allow you to cover more in case there is a liability claim which can be a butt saver meanwhile non stacked is a individual limit for each car that wont go over that limit if something happens, it is always your decision to keep one or the other but depending the situation you are in you can go with one or the other.

    Very informative video. I don't know if anyone pointed it out earlier but GEICO's founder actually used to work for USAA (headquartered in San Antonio) but left to found his own company when he had risen as far as he could within USAA's hierarchy which was biased towards the military. I agree a weakness is a lack of agents as opposed to most other carriers - but of course this helps keep overhead down (especially since I used to work in a contact center). GEICO does have some agents near big cities. A greater weakness is that they don't underwrite homeowners polices and in effect serve as a middleperson - and that you have no choice in the carrier whom they place your homeowners coverage with - kind of reminds me of how state run assigned risk policies work for the highest risk drivers for auto insurance.

  • @johell999
    @johell999 2 года назад +8

    As far as auto collision coverage (the one you buy to cover your own car) goes, Geico is fine insurance "IF" you drive a cheap older car. If you has higher end vehicle and care about your car to be as close to factory new, Geico is one of the worst. They paid obsoletely the least to your shop to repair your vehicle and will source any aftermarket part to compete your shop's estimate.

    I have had GEICO for a year now and no past accidents or anything else. I got into an accident with a travel bus it was a rear end hit meaning they hit me in the rear end and GEICO decided I was at fault before the other insurance company even denying my claim, the other insurance company called me two days later and said my insurance company (GIECO) had decided for me to be at fault. I was shocked by it, that’s why now I am trying to find a better insurance company to switch.

Geico without even seeing it priced it as average for condition and also compared it to one car that was over 150 miles away and had 109k miles on it mine had 96k I told them I don’t my vehicle compared to one that has that many miles on it. I am fresh off a 2 year policy with Geico which was a joint policy with a parent. Great rate. However I was looking to branch off on my own policy for easier communication and more transparency, where I made the mistake of mentioning my vehicle may be used for DoorDash and was immediately denied further coverage. That hurt. I’m 20, live in West Palm Beach Florida, with 1 accident, not at fault, paid off vehicle, and looking for a new company. Wondering what you’d suggest. Thanks and great content as always.

      Expunged is near impossible. If you’re in a state like NC you can have a “prayer for judgement” and get it removed but in most other states if you take a driving course it will stay in your record but without points. Insurance doesn’t care about the points.

    No link for multiple insurance quotes !!!! I am not registering or buying Think Insurance whatever that is? Geico not great, Progressive worst customer service and claims department, so where do you go? I am a member of USAA, I had served nearly 26 years in the U.S. Navy, but their premiums are very high so I refuse to use USAA, besides their coverage is not very good. I just keep my membership as it cost nothing. Navy Federal Credit Union does not offer good rates for Mortgages or Auto Loans. I once had State Farm over 20 years ago, wife had too many accidents and speeding tickets and was dropped. AllState been good for 20 years but every 6 months my premium goes up, I do not foresee any potential savings anymore and been wanting to change to another auto ins. for the last 8 years but not able to find one that offers great service or price wise. My AllState agent recently resigned after 10 years, my original agent retire so this was my 2nd agent, and I was transferred to a new agent, my 3rd, and my policy went up $300 for the next 6 month renewal policy. Have not yet paid the renewal and this is why I have been searching for better. I suppose that $300 increase is Gratuity or paying the new agents Commission. So, yes! AllState was okay but not anymore... to much greed. Got a quote from State Farm and whoa! too high. Progressive quote was $380 lower than what I'll have to pay AllState only because you get the new member Sign On Bonus. Uhm! Get a break for signing up with Progressive then when time for renewal ..Bang! sucker now you can pay more. Too many bad complaints about Progressive, I do not wish to become a Statistic. - USAA sux, Geico and Progressive sux, State Farm way too high, and AllState just keeps on milking me to death.

    Don’t file claims with this company; don’t buy home insurance with this shitty company; they have the worst constractors. It’s taking more than 3 months to fix a broken tile in my bathroom. Pathetic!

    My car fell victim to an act of vandalism, leaving me in need of a rental car. I decided to reach out to Geico, hoping to secure a temporary vehicle during the repairs. The agent I spoke to assured me that I would be covered for two weeks' worth of rental, until their systems processed the necessary police report.
    As fate would have it, during my rental period, I fell ill and had to be admitted to the hospital. Concerned about returning the car in my absence, I contacted another agent from Geico to explain the situation. To my relief, they informed me that I need not worry about arranging a pickup; all I had to do was focus on recovering and return the car once I was discharged.
    However, upon leaving the hospital after two weeks of treatment, I noticed that a significant sum of money had been deducted from my account. Distressed, I immediately contacted Geico to rectify the situation. They instructed me to provide screenshots of my checking account, which I promptly did. Unfortunately, I lost all contact with the agent who initially assured me of resolving the issue.
    Undeterred, Geico then requested an invoice from the rental company, Enterprise, promising that once submitted, it would take them two days to process and return the funds. Despite my repeated attempts to send the invoice, I received an email claiming that they had not received the necessary documentation. Frustrated, I reached out once more, speaking to a different agent who assured me that as soon as they had the correct documentation, my refund would be processed.
    Days turned into weeks, and still, no reimbursement appeared in my account. Growing desperate, I called Geico multiple times, seeking answers. Finally, they pinpointed the problem: my car's windshield replacement was never completed. They insisted that if I could take the car to have the windshield fixed, they would refund the rental expenses. It was then that I had to share the devastating news - due to the challenges in my life, I had lost both jobs, my apartment, and my car, which had been stolen along with all my possessions. Returning the rental for windshield repairs was no longer an option.
    The agent acknowledged my circumstances and advised me to wait until their manager returned on Monday. They promised to initiate the reimbursement process. However, before any progress could be made, I had to authorize my aunt as a user on my account, for I found myself in need of rehab due to a relapse triggered by the immense struggles I faced.
    The initial reason I rented the car was to accommodate both of my full-time jobs - one at Fred Bone Recovery Service and the other at UPS. I would transport clients from my first job to my second, ensuring their safety and convenience. Thus, having a rental car with an undamaged windshield was crucial.
    As time passed, 90 days slipped away, and I called Geico once again, frustrated by the lack of reimbursement. Finally, they admitted that the agent should have specified that I was only covered for five days of rental. A feeling of hopelessness overwhelmed me as they informed me that none of the money spent on the rental would be returned.
    Despite continuously pleading with Geico to review the recorded conversations, my pleas fell on deaf ears. Their final decision left me empty-handed, and the challenges I faced in my life seemed insurmountable.

      In total, they cost me $20,000, I had a 733 credit score it's now at 545. They destroyed my life without even batting an eye and I can't even hire a lawyer, as I would of rather spent the $20,000 on my case but no matter how many lawyers I contacted none were willing to help, nor my senator or the insurance commission he ultimately over sees.
