Don't worry about the length -- people in a hurry can skip ahead. I like to hear all Ray has to say/show. Kickass video.

Love the videos!!! Definitely not to long! If people want to skip through stuff, they can. Don't half ass teaching because people want to half ass their learning. Some of us appreciate some depth and reasoning behind why things are done. Looking forward to the switch tech tips! Keep the videos coming! They're great!

I do a lot of buffing with my profession (jeweler). You should always clean a piece between steps so as not to contaminate the buffs. It's cumulative. You may not notice a difference in final finish the first few times but eventually the final polish will look as dull as the first.

Certainly is advisable. Depends on what metal it is. Never hurts to "seal your job" though. Thanks for pointing that out!

Anyone know what is wrong with the Godzilla plunger on the new Sterns? What can be done to the plunger INSTEAD of using the “shooter lane fix” after market mod that they like to suggest that everyone gets?

So I hunted this video down just to say I will have a buffing wheel tomorrow!
Still don't have a blast cab yet so still have to sand rust off but at least I am slowly becoming a real professional pinball repair shop. xD

Haha what don't want me buffing my figers off? :) I'll finally have some nice looking stuff and I will start off using it on the two restorations I am doing. :)

Do you put a couple of clear coats on the metal after you have taken off the rust?
I've been doing that with the metal parts of my high speed once I sanded off the rusted part.
I use a water based clear on my parts.

Thats Funny. I bought a aftermarket all assembled Ball shooter from Marco Specialites. Sadly it does not have a washer on top of the plastic sleeve. Protecting it from the spring(as you have described it in this video) but has it on the retainer/keeper before the rubber. Just a another reason i avoid that company from now on if possible. Shout out to www.PinballLife.com
I'll just have to add/move it myself. Thanks for the tips and videos..

You mentioned setting a game on fire by filing a high voltage leaf switch and you give Todd a hard time for leaving balls in the game. Everyone has a goof up once in awhile. I love watching both of your channels, but Im a little tired of hearing it from both of sides.
Thanks for the videos and Im really enjoying the tech tips, I just hope the constant jabs stop soon.
